Thank you. Was a total panic when the rod went over, probably really showed my lack of experience there. But would be no good to cut the bite, and the rods going over bit out of the edit. That's what happened so I have to show it😂😂. Glad you're enjoying and thanks again👍👍
No worries dude. Hopefully you could see. It's a m say old game with the crab. But that smooth hound came to that big bait, crab and squid wrapped together. Try and keep as much juice in as possible. 👍👍

Thanks buddy. Yeah I guess it must be the ledge. I've heard it spoken about. There was some bass activity over there. I did go over and have a chuck with some rag for 5 minutes. I think it would definitely be worth a proper go for a few bass there though👍👍

Well done on the stingray chap! Good session with the smoothound as well I find hanging a bag of stones or something heavy on the tripod helps prevent it going over with weed a fish or wind. The iow has so much varied beach fishing to offer good luck in the future
Thanks Richard, it has been mentioned before about the bag of rocks, and I still forget to do it. I always think it'll be fine, and then it goes over. I was really chuffed to get those fish. The stingray is my biggest fish from the shore, and my second double figure this year, so I think I'll struggle to do better. You are bang about the variation in coastline here. It's brilliant. I am still yet to try the other side of the island, I haven't really given it a good go, but when I'm spoilt for choice just on the slowest side, it's easy to stay close. I have only ever caught one stingray 14lbs, that was about 40 years ago on Walton on Naze pier. Everyone was scared of it including me lol. Can’t begin to guess what you’ll get next, probably a pb tuna.

Lol, well I say only, because I know there has been a few 40lb plus ones coming out. Was real shocker to get it on the he rig I was using. It's long walk down, but totally worth it. I reckon it would fish well for bass too. Take care mate👍👍
hi dylan you ok mate, what a cracking bite caught on camera. it always seems to happen when you leave your rods. it happened to me last winter cod fishing on the humber, and i lost the fish in surf. 3 broke eyes and damaged my reel , i was devo'ed lol. all the best mate from the north east grimsby.

I have a couple of times but not often. I mainly fish in the week, so if it's a late one, I try to stay closer to home. I do intend on getting around a bit more though👍👍
