Cheers Tom dude. It was great fun. So chuffed you got your Ray, and was ace to see a codling, first one I've ever seen on the beach. Look forward to it mate👍👍🙏
Well done to you both what a great session I haven't seen Pout like that for around 40 years I was fishing a night on Folkstone pier we were catching loads between one and two lb plus
Thanks buddy, yeah it was really good fun. I was so chuffed my buddy had a cod, I've never seen one on the beach before, so i was made up for him. We get some good pout of the back of the island. Taste pretty decent too😁👍👍🎣🎣
Great video appreciated thanks....the new camera 📷 quality is fantastic, sound ,picture, focus, really good ....cheers again, South-Shields pier for me on Friday 😃
Thanks buddy, so glad the footage is better I was getting a bit frustrated watching it back and the light changing all the time. Let me know how you get on. I wemt out on Saturday managed to get a couple of bass which was great👍👍
Nice vid Dylan and some decent pouting in there. I managed to find time to watch it whilst I'm going up and down a field in my tractor🎣🎣 tight lines buddy👍
Cheers mate, still searching for my first cod, but was great to finally see one, the pout was good eating, amd then the smaller ones I kept for bait, got me into a bass on the next session. Thanks buddy👍👍🎣🎣🙏
Thanks Alan, it was really good fun. I know I didn't get into anything amazing, buy I really enjoyed that session. Glad the camera has worked out for me. 👍👍🙏
Fantastic sound quality on this considering the big surf in the background. It's amazing how many south coast fishing you tubers have caught codling in the last few weeks. Must be plenty about for a change.
Brilliant mate. Great investment on the camera , made huge improvement on footage. Cracking session tho, proper busy, surf sounded big dude. hope you both got off beach safe, appreciate your efforts bud🎣🐟👍🏼👍🏼
Well.... Its funny you should ask that mate. We started to walk back, was fine for about 100yards, then lost the beach to some pretty chunky shore dump. Had to climb the cliff, which was fun, then walked back into the chine and slipped on my arse🤣🤣🤣. How we laughed👍👍👍
@@FrugalOutdoors I did wonder if you’d get back along ok , it was big big tides lately , and shore dumps down there can make it quite a challenge .glad you both got out ok tho(sort of 😁!)
Yeah mate, it was very enjoyable. Missed a few fish too. Probably more pout, but hey ho. Nice to finally see a local codling. Now if only I can get one 👍👍
I grew up in Brighstone.. Countless trips down Grange chine & nearby... Good to see there are still loads of good size pout.. They were always enjoyable before getting serious for bigger things later. 🙂 pp
That's awesome, yeah I really bloke brighstone, probably one of my favourite venues, once on the beach, you feel like a million miles from anywhere 👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan the new camera is working great. Sume amazing size pout out dude and gz to tom on the codling and the ray. Looking forward to the next video 🎣🎣🎣
Great video, Dylan. The new camera gave much improved picture and sound quality. Big up to Tom for the codling, maybe you should paint your thumbnails red ! Looking forward to the next adventure.
As Neil said mate, the picture quality is awesome, and with a screen you should be able to see the bite that you always seem to get while talking the camera lol, love brighstone
Ha, brilliant, hadn't even thought of that. What a win, hopefully my catch rate should improve, just by using a different camera, who would have thought 🤣🤣👍🎣
Some jumbo Pouting there Dylan, a good night's fishing, well done. I've always had a soft spot for them and the colours are superb, especially when they catch the light. We used to get a lot of jumbo Pouting around here but they are few and far between nowadays which is a shame. Another great watch, tidy 👍👍🐟
Thanks Gareth. Yeah when you see them under water, they have amazing stripes on them. A bit like black bream. The humble pouting, made a great dinner, and one of them got me a bass on the next session, super chuffed👍👍🙏🙏🎣🎣
@@FrugalOutdoors lucky you we don't call them the rats of the sea for nothing. In Southsea where I'm from, December time the sea is plagued with them it's almost impossible fishing for anything else on the beach some nights! Only 2 whiting something I've never heard seriously. I used to live on the island at Yarmouth and Newport Yarmouth pier used to be a decent spot.
Sound and picture quality is great. Surprised you couldn't get black lug on the Island as in the past have always got it from the tackle place in Ryde. Really enjoy you blogs. Keep them coming.
Thanks David, yeah I didn't know you could get freah blacks from Ryde. I know a few of them have frozen blacks, and sometimes will have common lug, but great news if they do. Be nice to get some fresh lug as well. I've dug some myself, but they are pretty small, but the beach at Ryde is huge, so makes sense they would be there👍👍👍
Hey mate just found your channel and really like the vids. Quite jealous of those pouting mate canny sizes. If you can’t get worm baits easily on the island the old timers around my neck of the woods used to use something called parps after stormy conditions. Supposedly they’d be killer baits on long lines. If youve ever went rock pooling and seen those strawberry like anemones then it’s them mate. 🍓I’d imagine in rough seas they dislodge off the rocks and fish come close in to shore to feed after a good sea run. Tight lines look forward to new vids and going to have a lil delve into your older stuff on the channel. Keep up the good work mate
Cool man, hope you enjoy the content. I can get the likes of rag and lug, juts not fresh blacks. Interesting about the strawberry anemones. Definitely one to remember in future, thanks buddy👍👍🎣🎣
Thabks Martin mate, I've done it so many times. Yeah turns out the new camera is pretty good. Still need to work on the settings, the files were absolutely huge. Hope you're well mate 👍👍🙏
@@FrugalOutdoors hi Dillon its Gary that sounds like a no brainer then and it's free even better top job you are doing like all videos I'm going to try and watch them all from the beginning if I can find them buddy 👍👍👍👌
Hi Dillon type I've got the name right I was just wondering what the parking was like at bightstone as coming over in June to fish the area looking for 1 or 2 rays your fishing videos are getting better and better and it's great the way you tell people to access these places. Tight lines 🎣🫡
You're very welcome, and nearly got it. It's Dylan, but it's fine. Yeah parking is ok at brighstone. You'll have to park at the top, by the grange garage, as you can't park in the holiday park. Access os via grange farm. It's not a long walk, pretty steep at the bottom, but it's a made path so it's super easy, walk back up can be a bit tough👍👍🎣🎣
Great quality mate! Was a top evening. Look forward to the next one 👍

Great session, seeing those pout bought back memories of my late
father making fishcakes for us when we were kids in the 50/60s happy days.
That's awesome Kevin. I think they make pretty good eating, especially when they get to that size. Hope you enjoyed the watch and the memories 👍👍🎣🎣

Hi Dylan, you can get live black lug from the tackle shop in Sandown on the industrial estate off of Station Avenue :)
Ah no way, I didn't know that. I knew you could sometimes get normal lug, and frozen blacks, good to know they can get fresh blacks though👍👍
Picture and sound quality are superb with the set up Dylan, well done
Thanks Matt, much appreciated buddy👍👍🙏
Good investment that camera mate your best quality video so far i reckon.
Ace man, thank you for that. I didn't really want to do it, but I think I've finally put grown my phone. My phone is about 3 years old though😂👍👍
