    Ladies, purchase her book. I’m telling you you will use it for years more than you know! It covers ALL the alternatives not just HRT. All the pros and cons. You choose what’s good for you, Dr Taylor teaches you how to achieve it. Included the three diseases of menopause. Gave my nieces a copy; they’re 24 & 36. I told them to hang on to it and thank me later. I’m 62. Used Dr Taylor’s reasonings with my GYN, and I’m finally living menopause my way.

    Silence is stupid when it comes to our well-being! Even when I wasn't silent it was hard to find unbiased information until I found your education. I have your book and listen to your videos (mostly in order!) I have been going back through some of the units again and I have such a better understanding and I thank you for that. I still have some unanswered questions but that is probable due to the fact that every woman is different and there is not a one size fits all answer. Thanks again for providing an education about menopause. I really appreciate it because I don't have any older females in my family to talk to.

    Angry. If I had this information earlier, I would have been able to take action when I started to experience the misery of peri menopause. I have been going to doctors for years trying to seek help with symptoms, not even aware they were all symptoms of oestrogen deficiency. The doctors must have been as ignorant as I was. I am one of who quit work due to finding it increasingly difficult to manage fatigue and brain fog. I had just been through a highly stressful and traumatic motor vehicle accident and mistakenly attributed my symptoms to this. Due to coming across your menopause channel, I am starting on hrt. I am 60 but still within 10 years of hitting menopause. I have wasted many years suffering a poverty of health, energy, enthusiasm for life and love. I have also suffered a great economic loss. II have hardly slept for the past 15 years. Started hrt and am, at least, able to sleep. I feel cheated. Sorry about the rant but thank you so much for you channel.
    I think women would be reluctant to raise the issue in the workplace as we already fight discrimination there and feel it would just lead to further discrimination and/or attempts to justify that discrimination.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Your "rant" is absolutely warranted. You pain and strife were completely unnecessary. I'm sorry you endured them. And if more women would rant, things would change. The problem is that, until women demand more, they won't get more. I hope this education brings about a menopause revolution!

      I am with you - I so wish I would have had this information earlier - but, at least my daughters will have all the information when they hit perimenopause. Work was so difficult those years with the brain fog, anxiety, heavy periods, no sleep, etc. & yes, I did quit work a few years before I hit menopause. I tried various doctors including naturopaths, etc. and got no help. I am also finally on HRT and am feeling very thankful for Dr. Barbie Taylor. After months of not letting up I was finally able to convince my doctor to prescribe me at least the minimum dosage of BHRT so I can have relief of symptoms and also help to fight the 3 big diseases of menopause. Hope life continues to improve for you Diane.

I have some unusual eating habits in a kitchen that I share with a bunch of guys. I bring pizza and cookies for them while I eat more specific foods. I was finishing up at work with 3 guys and a younger female friend. I told them I'm done lifting and I ment it. I kept working till everything was put away but I was definitely done lifting. I had to conserve some energy for my dog and didn't have time to become exhausted. I feel good about saying something and 3 guys could easily finish the lifting as I did most of it for the last hour. Too many women ignore their needs. Thank you Dr Barbie you're amazing.

I'm sure my pubescent daughter has learned alot from hearing my conversations and seeing me watch vids. I also talk to her about this phase of life as I want her to be able to advocate for herself. I totally get it, doctor. Since I found your videos I talk about what I've learn with you with my friends, my mom, my sister and my co-workers. None of them knew that menopause is so complex and they are surprised when I tell them that they can prevent the symptoms and the diseases especially with HRT, they just like I use to be, are scared to death of hormones. I tell them they have to watch your videos, especially those friends going perimenopause but even better if they can do it before. Sadly, none of them have taken it seriously. For my mom is too late though, she never did anything for her menopause because of lack of information. Now she has a bad case of osteoporosis. Only the one going through symptoms is listening and I hope she gets the education I'm telling her to get. Even my teenage son and my brother have heard me talk about menopause and even when my son won't go through it he can pass the information to other girls and women when the time comes. The doctors are another case, this one enrages me though. The last gynecologist I visited gave me HRT but only for my symptoms even after she saw my DEXA results that show a degree of osteopenia. I am frankly in the fight for my health against these doctors and the insurance company so I can see a menopause specialist.

    Am I the only one to think that every corporation needs to offer a woman's wellness class for women 40+ on the changes that will happen with perimenopause and menopause. They can present options, resources, and how to talk to your doctor. Most women ignore talking about menopause with women at work. I have to wonder if HR and Diversity will say it's wrong because transwomen won't go through it and that means they get left out--aww shucks, we're it not for hormones, you'd be a man still...funny how women only get lowest dose possible vs higher dose to help better.

    Another amazing video.💕
    Like many women here I too am upset about this but not at all surprised since common sense isn’t common anymore about pretty much anything.
    I have been thru hell between perimenopause and now postmenopause.
    Why every single doctor I’ve been to see over the past 11 years has sent me to a different‘specialist’ for each dis-ease or symptoms of one; from a cardiologist for the sudden heart palpitations to an e.n.t. and surgeon for the hypothyroidism, to the ob/gyn (who is on the N.A.M.S. List) who shamed and demeaned me& only offered me an rx for Vaginal Estrace as my ‘only’option and then when insurance said, “ we won’t cover this medication and need a pre-authorization because ‘you’ve never been on it before’ ( duh- I’ve never been in menopause before) her office only tried twice to get it pushed thru. Never happened & here I am 5 years later, having gone to a host of women doctors and they are All afraid to put me or all of their other patients I’ve spoken with, on HRT. And my family history includes All of the Big 3 silent dis-eases you speak of.
    Still looking for a knowledgeable, fearless, compassionate doctor who will help me get my estrogen and progesterone and my life back before it’s too late.
    I have never been silent about this but have met with a lot of fear and ignorance on the part of the allopathic medical community.
    I’ve also been told that even though I offered to pay ‘ out of pocket’ 1 of my 2 insurances won’t cover ht or HRT so they won’t take me as a new patient.
    I feel like I’ve lost so much time.
    Millions of women are on birth control pills or iud’s from teens and 20’s onward thru their reproductive years, and we naturally have our hormones AND we’re also receiving these same hormones via birth control pills and there’s NO issues in dispensing them; doctors are even giving them away at Free clinics. But- for some odd and dangerous reason- when we cease to produce those same hormones during our Non- Reproductive years( menopause) we are met with so much resistance and fear from most doctors AND this point in time is so Crucial because when we don’t receive our estrogen and progesterone we are at serious risk of so many things that impair our lives in a multitude of ways, to the point that we could actually die early from heart disease, heart attack, brain issues, bone loss, etc.
    I saw this happen to my beautiful sweet Mom and my Gram and I don’t want it to happen to me.
    I’ve always been fit and trim and sharp minded and now the problems have gotten serious no matter how much I exercise, eat a whole food plant based diet, do meditations etc the visceral fat appeared with a vengeance, erratic sleep, mega hair loss, the list goes on.
    How do you get help with something that should be so simple?- I’d like to say to the doctors- Give me my estrogen and a little bit of progesterone back & I bet that in a matter of months all of the ‘symptoms’ would disappear and I would be myself again.
    It’s our estrogen. Our bodies.
    How many doctors over how many years do we have to go see in order to get One to give this to us?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's all about knowing "how to play the game." Of course, you shouldn't have to play a game. Getting HRT should be as easy as getting thyroid hormone for thyroid hormone deficiency or insulin for insulin deficiency. But, it isn't. And that's due to illogical fear. So if you try to apply logic to an illogical system, you'll fail. In a consultation, I will tell you precisely how to go about getting what you want.

How do I find a Gyn that will prescribe hormone replacement? Seems like they want to give you their take and send you on your way. Ugh! Frustrating.

    @Menopause Taylor would you consider making a video on all the other causes of osteoporosis? Osteoporosis is more common in people who have too much or too little of certain hormones in their bodies. Examples include:
    Sex hormones. Lowered sex hormone levels tend to weaken bone. The fall in estrogen levels in women at menopause is one of the strongest risk factors for developing osteoporosis. Treatments for prostate cancer that reduce testosterone levels in men and treatments for breast cancer that reduce estrogen levels in women are likely to accelerate bone loss.
    Thyroid problems. Too much thyroid hormone can cause bone loss. This can occur if your thyroid is overactive or if you take too much thyroid hormone medication to treat an underactive thyroid.
    Other glands. Osteoporosis has also been associated with overactive parathyroid and adrenal glands. HYPERPROLACTINEMIA PARTICULARY!! Thanks for your consideration. 🙏🥰

      I gave you an entire unit - consisting of 36 videos - on osteoporosis. And in it, I presented the list of risk factors (as I do with every disease). But I present everything in units. No willy-nilly jumping around expecting to lear anything!
      This is why I beg you to watch all my videos (starting with video #1) in order. You cannot possibly learn anything in a logical, useful way if you don't. It's like trying to read without learning the alphabet first.
      If you want a shortcut, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME and I'll tailor everything specifically to YOU. I do them all online.

    • @annramsey7907

      Wow not even 1 mg of estrogen the hormone of weight loss & post monthly happy camper mood. And a whopping big 100 mg of progesterone the hormone of weight gain & premenstrual syndrome. This much permanent premenstrual syndrome would make me nuts. I would ask for less progesterone a lot less & not take the dim.

    • @MsKati30
      @MsKati30 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@annramsey7907 that’s not true. 0.05 is equal to 1 mg of oral Estradiol, which is the minimum dose for disease prevention according to Dr Taylor

    • @annramsey7907
      @annramsey7907 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if it is equal to 1 mg oral that's great. But what I said was the progesterone was way too high & she needed to talk to her doctor about lowering that hormone not lowering the estrogen & not taking dim. I also have learned that Progesterone is the hormone that causes breast cancer & that high dosage progesterone causes breast cancer & from any natural hormone fluctuating chart of the pre-menopausal woman progesterone is the hormone of premenstrual syndrome. 100 mg of progesterone seems excessive & dangerous. And Dr Taylor does say that progesterone causes weight gain.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, you can take DIM. It is nothing but cruciferous vegetables. You're better off just eating the veggies.
      Weight gain is due to estrogen DEFICIENCY. So your weight-gaining body is telling you that it isn't getting enough estrogen.

    Telling your boss is tricky. If she's postmenopausal, she might understand. Might. She may belong to that category of believers in silence. If she's under 45, or if it's a man, you risk being met with contempt and a desire to replace you with someone younger and mire vibrant.
    I've talked to my boss because I knew she was my age, we share some cultural background, and I can sense her humanity. But, otherwise, "silence is golden" would have been my motto.
    Organizations don't like old women. No need to give them ammo. Sad, but true.
