11:16 Espoo Expos won the 2023 Championship against Tampere Tigers 3-2 after being down 0-2 to start the best of 5 finals, thus repeating as champions. Tampere won 3 games to 1 in 2021
The article linked in the description said Tampere won it but after checking another article I see that you’re right. Espoo 3-2 for their 19th league title. Thanks for the correction
In the Scottish National Baseball Leagues the Edinburgh Cannons were undefeated 16-0 in the AAA League and the Glasgow Comets won the A League with a 11-1 record winning the club's first ever title. My source I play in the league it's completely amateur too and separate from the British leagues. In the cup the Caledonia Classic Tayport won both titles in the AAA level and A level going back to back as well.
You, sir, have earned yourself a new subscriber. Love hearing about the (other) beautiful game growing in other countries. Cheers from NYC, home of the not-even-close-to-champions Mets (next year!).
Israel 🇮🇱 actually had their own Israeli baseball league in 2000s but after a couple years, they got rid of it. It might come back as Israel 🇮🇱 gets bigger in baseball and more WBCs thanks to funding they got from last two WBCs. They play with Europe countries so its possible but will take a couple years and they have Israeli players that played in MLB who are Jewish. Brazil 🇧🇷 plays, they just need funding but they're close to qualifying for WBC on World Rankings.
I included Romania in past years but this time it wasn’t in the article and I couldn’t find it anywhere else. Do you know who the Romanian champion was this year?
And the US Champion can still call themselves the World Champions, because none of these other teams could come close to beating the Royals, much less the Rangers!
@@baseballinternational174 I just want a tourney with all the teams named after American teams. As a New York Mets fan, I feel like we could take the Helsinki Mets (absolutely pummeled every season, if my info is right) but could genuinely run a risk of getting our asses kicked by the London Mets.
And of course we can't forget about our beloved Texas Rangers

Thanks for adding that
Now Mayagüez in Puerto Rico will likely miss the playoffs.
Love your channel. It gives so much exposure to leagues I’d never even hear of much less be able to follow

Wow, baseball sure is played in a lot of countries. But no professional leagues in Brazil or Israel? That's surprising.

The top NPB teams could easily sit somewhere midtable in MLB imo
