100% agree that having 9 stash tabs is 1 too few. Was one of the first things i noticed bc one of the first things i did logging in after the patch was re-organize gear into tab-per-slot
A lot of my most successful builds while gathering cosmic energy revolved around ball lightning and lightning bolt. I'm happy to see that it still works in high darkness. I played your version of this build once, and while I certainly had a lot of fun looking at all of the elemental effects, I almost feel that Kront would do a better job at the ball lightning playstyle. I base this on the fact that, even though all of those casts going off looked amazing, in the end screen about 80% of my damage was done by the lightning bolt power. And sure, merris does have the 180% bonus power damage from the rainbow staff, kront offsets this with his bonuses to powers from his cosmic talents
If you use skadi with Relentless and Untapped Potential talents, with high enough attack speed you can permafreeze boss and make the run really trivial. I was able to permafreeze everything with 9% status duration and 36% attack speed. Try it out if you haven't done it already. Edit: With this, Winter and Summer are really good since you have Fury and status duration. Hoarfrost legends is absolutely discusting since you can appliy 7-8 status effect consistently.
I run a very similar set up! I just can't justify using the black lamp. The Masters offers are nice, but I value my the relic I'm using with 6 Banishes so much.
oh, another build I need to try. Nixxi dash build is amazing... but I also got the unique knife with a ton of dash damage and +10 I think it was dash projectiles... could dive on top of an enemy to instakill it. I have done pure caster Merris, its able to clear difficulty 100 with some troubles(mostly first 3 minutes... and minute 11 can give some trouble) Justice is basically the only required god.... you simply need divine shield or inner peace to survive at those high difficulties... along with life per kill. Summer I find to actually be the weakest god for caster builds, probably because all the other gods bring something else instead of just more damage. Whether its CC, things like fatality, etc.
BTW one of the most underappreciated blessings right now is Frozen Treasure. At master i believe it is 60% chance of extra gear, which is huge considering all bosses will always be frozen or immune, making gear farming much faster.
I appreciate that its a one point blessing, its the same reason I always hope hurricane shows up pretty early so I don't need to start banishing strikes... I don't have near enough banishes.
Don't know if you have tried it yet, but I got the ring with +20% more unique items and equipped it to farm some on darkness 40. Did two runs and I got 8-10 unique items each run. Don't know if it's bugged or what but it seems to be a massive boost to uniques dropping right now!
I was wondering when would be featuring this. Been having an absolute blast with Merris and the +X% duration amulet. Lightning Orbs gets out of control fast too especially with Urgency.

Goddess of Fire gives Caster Damage, power damage and the best part "Enkindling." Got it to level 5 master its 300% longer Dash duration. Makes that "Ball lightning" last for 15s which is just dumb and fast! "War pact," is also worth taking Master level 5 is 80% Barriers AND BOSS"S the which allows hits to hit for 150,000+ a sec but hit rate is weird, to help hit more Rampage and or i Don't have passive name but the Dash area is freaking great state for Ball lightning or Vortex. And Vortex fixes all those fast bomb throwing guys and teleporting tall chicks. And or the the is a way to fix all those fast guys you get it high level and big area it hits whole screen to pull them in so i used Meteor to pound the well they can't move. And I just got a Frost Nova on my God like Dash Amulet It has 20.8% Damage, 113.4% Dash Damage 1 Alterations, and the Frost Nova at 12% it can freeze something early to get going.
It's still unclear what in the Talent tree is affected by luck and what the ratios are. I was messing with a Nixi luck build and some of the talents didn't seem affected at all
Do you have any suggestions for nixi at d30+? I’ve tried poisons, crit basics w the empty strike slots talent, and the shadow form stuff, and feel they all struggle with survivability compared to other characters. in act 1 divine shield could carry but in act 2 there’s so much incidental damage… never tried it cause I hated the RNG on dodging but maybe evasion stacking is the play?

ok... so i been playing more. and i think i figured out WHY i hated the game so much. i never checked my gear... after the update, ALMOST all of my gear got changed and the builds i had for that said item didn't work well for it... i been slowly building a character again and that sicks. i also still cant get levels fast unless i take warped strike and merris... i just dont make enough exp even in act 1 to push past level 20-23. i still win ever run but its just still feels so more fun then it used to for me. also light rays + Area + Blades all master level... is nuts... its sooo crazy add searing touch attack with merris and her homing missile is pretty fun.
It's so weird. I have been playing these Arena Survival games for quite a while now. There are at least a dozen of them in my Steam library. This game is the first one that just frustrates me. It looks and feels great, but I can't get past the second boss (left and right hand) for the life of me. Only getting a single point of meta progression per run (Necromancer drop) and barely any equipment upgrades doesn't help either. Other games also have these difficulty "brick-walls", but they also measurably make you stronger each run.
Keep trying and look for more powerful gear that buffs your preferred blessings. The discord and wiki is also great for information and answering your questions.
The best advice I can give for the gargoyles is to be patient. If you dodge early you set yourself up for getting caught with a 2nd dash. You can typically walk out of the range of their close attacks as well. Besides that, learning what synergies and playstyles work best for you while your getting gear will help
There is, kind of. There's really 2 dash builds here mixed together because it's what I was offered. Either all in on Ball Lighting or going with Blades/Vortex for more lightning novas
ya the summon builds are so weak atm , was trying merris with the parrot gloves , the skeleton army amulet , and onyx dragons on every other gear slot , combined with her fire elementals and her dragon , u start the run with a literal army of 50+ minions and immediately you are struggling to avoid djinns and getting ur ass beat down by skeleton archers XD ; luv'n the game but hopefully the devs have some HUGE changes planned for the next update , cuz it certainly needs some balance tweaks [ie high end build make d100 trivial and low-end build can barely survive d30, so maybe the ideal path is to make d100 more difficult and/or add more darkness/d200 and buff summons in a pretty big way]
I'd say it's actually a lot LESS restrictive than it was before. There is a big gameplay change of not really being able to switch archetypes mid run( at higher difficulties) which is probably going to be the biggest turn off for most people who enjoyed it previously but don't now.

i put gloves and boots together as it seems that they have the least of unique or "oh that could be fun" versions.
Be on the look out for Holiday events. The last one gave an additional stash tab and a unique for each character

I farm so hard to get the same staff you have but still no drop, any suggestions when it comes to farming? Shall I keep farming 31 until it's drop?
Yeah, only need to do d30 though. The best thing to do is get frozen treasure as well, you can nearly double your loot drops

Also the first successful run can be the hardest, definitely was the case for me, almost have to get lucky or be excellent at dodging.
ime, that boss is all about timing the rush ability well.
