It's because of the inconsistency, if we win like the next 5 games people will stop saying we are scraping it. But if we lose the next game then every win looks like we are just scraping through.
The vast majority of wins under Ten Hag have been by a single goal and because of our tendency to collapse and concede late on, it feels as though we scrape through each time we managed to win.
My two big takeaways from the game. 1. I thought Hoijlund was excellent. His best United game by far. He showed real signs of improvement as a player. 2. United need to stop trying to be a patient ball control style side. Just because it's fashionable, doesn't mean it's the only way. They need to be what they did in the second half until Hoijlund scored. A front foot, quick passing, ball always forward, somewhat direct, team. It suits the players better. It suits the match going crowd better. It suits the Club. You can play like that without being a counter attack only side and you can play like that without pushing too many people forward. The team just showed that. There's a time and a place for keeping the ball and letting minutes pass by. It's not the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford vs Brentford and it's not when you've got 2-1 in front vs Brentford at OT, when you've just ripped them to shreds for 20 minutes. They should've been pushing for 3 and 4. Then you can play keep ball and see the game out. You can always conceded against the run of play. Trying to see out at game at 2-1 or waiting for the opposition to come onto you. It's risky and it's rubbish to watch. Especially when they've just played 20 minutes of swashbuckling football.
@hodsonstreets Definitely still room for improvement. Yet considering we saw him unable to hold the ball, win the ball or link play alot last season in those kind of back to gola duels, it was a clear level up in that area of his game.
@hodsonstreets Has to be more to come. Garnacho put two balls right across the face of the goal. Hoijlund wasn't there. He has to be there. I understand why he wasn't there because Garnancho and others weren't putting the ball in there before, so he probably didn't expect it. Garnacho needs to carry on doing that and Rasmus needs to be there and they'll score plenty.
Hojlund was class today! His hold up play 5 star. Won pretty much every 50/50 long ball and brought other players into the game. Also took the goal well class chip over the goalie 🔥
Would love to see garnacho on the halfway line when the opposition has a corner, ready to break! It would force the other team to leave a centre half or 2 with him taking the header threat away from their corner kick 👍
Just wish Onana would get rid of the ball quicker and catch the opposition off guard. A bit like Schmiecel used to do, soon as it touches his gloves it should launched out 👍
Will you say United should have been applying the Dark Arts and made Onana get down to halt game so De Light could get his head wrapped before the game started again? Seems like something Arsenal, City and Liverpool would have done.
Rashford, Garnacho and Hoijlund have proven the real problem is midfield. Bruno puts himself about too much, Casimiro and Erickson are well past it for a top 4 team.
Congratulations Andy! From where I was sitting, the throw-in leading to the corner to even get Brentford's first goal was very poor - but a really good reaction in that second half. Does ETH have a problem motivating these players?
I personaly felt that when DeLight was kneed in the head and the referee gave the free-kick the wrong way, he should have been given more time to recover and for the medical team to repair him fully. Instead the ref pushed the game restart on and they scored changing the game for a while.
De Ligt head injury still bossed it at the back after running back on, Mount head injury not seen since that is the measure of a Utd player or a passenger
Not too impressed with these ratings when they leave out major incidents. The goal conceded was all on Dalot even if De Ligt was off the field. He had the man and let him easily shrug him off and jus watched it happen. If someone else free had scored fine. A 7? That alone should make it 6 max for him - he was fine but that was a HUGE lapse in concentration. We won so nobody should get less than a 5 but that first half should have consequences on the overall score.
The Brentford goal was not controversial De Ligt should have been medically attended to properly when injured and not have to go off foe more treatment just before the goal More united medical incompetence
Without stitches I don't know what you expect the medical team to do. The PL rule of having to leave the field for 30 seconds after receiving treatment is the bigger problem. Without it, he would have been in position.
@@keyjones1678 Not 30 seconds. He had to go off for as long as it took to stem the bleeding. The United medical staff botched it and the referee had no choice when he became aware that the blood was flowing freely again.
Everyone played well we got the ball back quickly Wen we lost it tempo was good, keep going lads , good stuff Andy, congrats on the walk for the foundation
All opinions I know, but being at the game myself Dalot was poor, poor throwing which lead to corner, lost his man on the corner. Who then scored! Too many occasions diving in to try win a ball rather than standing his man and being goal side. Squad player yes but on the bench if we can get a left back fit
Shocking first half. 2nd half has to be the example to how much intensity and control we have to have in every game and that just better not be a one off half…👍
It's pretty simple, Andy talks about each players performance during the game and rates them out of 10. Jonny Evans is always 10 out of 10 which is an inside joke.

Scraping? That’s not what I saw from my seat. We had most of the game under control. Brentford created very little.
Every win feels like scraping a win. Even when the game is under control there's a sense that United will give away a goal any second.
It's because of the inconsistency, if we win like the next 5 games people will stop saying we are scraping it. But if we lose the next game then every win looks like we are just scraping through.
I think the spirit shown to come back from a goal down in those circumstances was good too and we made some great tactical adjustments at half time
A one goal lead always feels tight
The vast majority of wins under Ten Hag have been by a single goal and because of our tendency to collapse and concede late on, it feels as though we scrape through each time we managed to win.
Nice to see ETH at the press conference recognise your hard work.
Been a while since we saw Andy smile during a player ratings video. Lets hope it continues in midweek.
Andy, we would love a video of you sharing your Kilimanjaro experience. Well done!
Rashfords ability to hit a diagonal long ball is top draw. We need to make use of that more.
He found Garnacho twice in the first half and third time lucky in the second.
My two big takeaways from the game. 1. I thought Hoijlund was excellent. His best United game by far. He showed real signs of improvement as a player. 2. Did play well, felt he could have held ball better on a few occasions but also some good touches too
@hodsonstreets Definitely still room for improvement. Yet considering we saw him unable to hold the ball, win the ball or link play alot last season in those kind of back to gola duels, it was a clear level up in that area of his game.
@@quarantinefox he looks hungry for it which is great to see. Plenty more to come hopefully.

@@quarantinefox Garnacho getting at players is what I love to see, more the YANITED way. Front front aggression.
Andy did kilmanjaroo well done mate
Casemiro shot towards Trafford Bar, and it landed 46 minutes later 😅😅 Jonny Evans, what a man and a player 😊
Jonny Evans ..Diez 🎉 Enjoyable 2nd half after dull first half. Need to keep going.
It feels quite good to finally win a match. Superb performance by the goat Evans. And the international break was unbearable. Great work Andy.
Congratulations Sir Andrew of Mitten on the hike with Robbo up Mount Killimanjaro. 👏👏👏👏👏
Hojlund was class today! His hold up play 5 star. Won pretty much every 50/50 long ball and brought other players into the game. Also took the goal well class chip over the goalie 🔥
Pretty much exactly what I wrote on another post, I think Van Nistelrooy has been working with him over the last couple of weeks.
Well done on summitting Kilimanjaro earlier this week Andy
Thanks Andy and congrats on the climb! Are we gonna see a video?
Jonny Evans 10 out of 10 obviously
True United fans know Evans has always been a quality defender, nothing fancy just simple no nonsense defending 👊🏻
Good! Here we go for the season... Uniteeeedddddd!!!!!
Ooooh nooo 😂😂😂 that time of the month we win a football match is CRAZY. 😭
Love happy Andy
Enjoyed that Andy thank you 👍
Nice one Andy lad 👍
Would love to see garnacho on the halfway line when the opposition has a corner, ready to break! It would force the other team to leave a centre half or 2 with him taking the header threat away from their corner kick 👍
Andy loves Jonny Evans like I do 😁😁😁😁

One of the best performances in our recent history. Keep it going reds! 💪🏼

Well done on the climb Andy .. MUFC
Diogo Dalot will never be a trustworthy defender..........he always switches off at least a few times per game, it's absolutely criminal!
Hojland gets an 8 from me. The front three were brilliant today.
Garnacho and Rashford were excellent and De Ligt, with a bloodied head, played his best game for United.
Congratulations Andy! From where I was sitting, the throw-in leading to the corner to even get Brentford's first goal was very poor - but a really good reaction in that second half. Does ETH have a problem motivating these players?
Nice one Andy 🙂🇾🇪✌️🔰
@unitedwestandmag he's our Northern Ireland Pepe!
Do you leap out of your seat when United score Andy , what score did you predict ? Evans 10 ?
I personaly felt that when DeLight was kneed in the head and the referee gave the free-kick the wrong way, he should have been given more time to recover and for the medical team to repair him fully. Instead the ref pushed the game restart on and they scored changing the game for a while.
Rashford played well but how was he better than Rasmus yesterday?
De Ligt head injury still bossed it at the back after running back on, Mount head injury not seen since that is the measure of a Utd player or a passenger
When John retires we have to get on the coaching staff.

True. ✅ belt & braces approach was required no matter how close to the interval 🤕
@@gustaaf1892 botched it in the first instance. Hopefully should learn from it, if ever there's a next time 🤕
Dalot a 7?!?!? I must have watched a different game.
Everyone played well we got the ball back quickly Wen we lost it tempo was good, keep going lads , good stuff Andy, congrats on the walk for the foundation
Dalot lost his man for the goal no??
Jonny fucking Evans ❤
Any chance of making a offer for Bowen? West Ham stinks just a thought.
Mid table battle

*throw in!
Yeah but he put up his hand after losing his man (just like against Spurs) so it's all good.
@@aidanmagill6769 🤣🤣🤣
you still wearing sauconys, andy ? asking for a mate
Not interested in the green grass. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves as it will be back to the doldrums after Wednesday…..
medical team of united failed miserably, never mind dalot,s awful defending again, good footballer but bad defender
Shocking first half. 2nd half has to be the example to how much intensity and control we have to have in every game and that just better not be a one off half…👍
United we stand 😂 catfish
I dont understand this content tbh
Andy rates United players out of 10 after each game
It's pretty simple, Andy talks about each players performance during the game and rates them out of 10.
Jonny Evans is always 10 out of 10 which is an inside joke.
Rashford 8 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah either a 7 or 8 is fair unless you're one of the Rashford hating gobshites.
He had a really good game. If that causes you so much mental anguish, that's a you problem. Help is available.
What's your 'take' here? Assists aren't good?
Rashford played decent! Looks like he’s got the fire in his belly again 👍
Did you watch the game?
Garnacho and Rashford getting 8 is hilarious. Those two and Hojlund are the worst forward three in the top half.
That would be true if we were in the top half.........
Lol. You’re not wrong.
