0:38 Icelander here! The red chair is an oversized chair (bigger than a person!) that was supposedly used by trolls to observe the night sky and universe. However, in reality, nobody actually knows who bolted it to the rock. The nearest buildings are barns and sheephouses, and theres only one stoppost nearby indicating it as a stopping place along The Ring Road. As of March 2021, it was placed back after being inexcplicibly removed and put back throughout the years
    Hope this helped, Robin!

54:00 YO!! MY PARENTS USED TO WORK THERE!! My dad was an underwater clown and my mom was a mermaid! I showed this to my dad, and he said that that specific costume he didn’t wear, but they had 3 different outfits they changed into over the course of 30 minute shows, and they would perform circus acts underwater while the mermaids would swim/dance around them. _Fun fact:_ All of that water is from a bunch of natural springs that form into the San Marcus river and that pic was taken 30ft underwater- you would watch the mermaids and clowns through a glass screen, as well as a “submarine” you would enter that had a glass bottom. It was extremely dangerous if you didn’t know what you were doing, because the hoses would get tangled all the time and clothes would snag constantly.
On a side note; my dad and mom reported animal abuse from that establishment, and even though it wasn’t my dad’s job, he also used to take care of Ralph the swimming Pig, which on a sadder note was actually multiple pigs. Because of laws back in the day saying barn/slaughter animals were basically expendable by law, Aquarena had “Dancing Chickens and Swans” (aka electrocuting chickens/swans to dance) as well as “Ralph the swimming Pig”, that constantly got pneumonia due to swimming and would sadly die. My parents detested the way they treated the animals so much that my dad and my mom called the authorities on them anonymously, who shut down the dancing chickens/swans, and fined Aquarena a hefty fee for endangering the swans. The pigs, however, were determined to be lawful, so my dad took matters into his own hands and set up heat lamps and hay in their enclosures while he worked there. Both my parents say that the only thing they absolutely hated about working there, even with all the dangerous occupational hazards, was the “Ralph” the swimming pig part, due to it’s cruelty and them not able to stop it. However, the establishment Aquarena shut down years ago and is actually now a restaurant that overlooks the springs/river.

3:43 About the horse hooves- those are eponychium, also called “fairy fingers” (which if you ask me is a name that only makes it worse but I digress-)
Basically, they exist as kind of a balance for the fact that horses need fully formed hooves from birth to be able to escape any predators attracted by the smell of the placenta without also injuring the mother in the process. I don’t know why they had to look like that specifically or if this generally helps or hurts, but I can at least say the horse itself is not in pain and that that’s supposed to happen (thank you Casual Geographic for the information btw-)

An oddly interesting and terrifying fact about bees is that after those massive murder hornets had been around for a while slaughtering bees they eventually learned a way to overpower the hornets, they would wait for a hornet to enter the hive and then as many bees as possible would pile on top of it and vibrate their wings as fast as physically possible, this vibration would generate so much heat that it would basically cook the hornet to death

I'm very late to the game, but the "unlaid chicken eggs" at 25:12 aren't technically eggs, but follicles aka. early stage yolks and what eventually turns into an egg. The follicle grows inside the ovary until it is large enough, then travels down the oviduct where it first gets enveloped by the egg white, then membranes, and lastly the hard calcium shell before it is laid. As chickens can lay as much as an egg per day, they need to have multiple follicles growing at the same time, resulting in ovaries filled with different sizes of follicles. This fun fact has been brought to you by your local vet student.

Note on 40:16 from a semi-experienced diver, Lexi-
At ~40-60 feet (12-18 meters), colors like red and orange start to fade from refracting through the water, fully disappearing generally ~50 meters (~150 ft).
At 60ft (standard max diving depth for a basic diver certification), it takes the average human ~45-60 minutes to use up a full 3500psi tank of air. At 100ft that time shortens to something like ~35-40. At 400ft, I have no idea but I assume you'd only have a few minutes on a 3500psi tank, meaning you have to have a larger tank and/or specialized gear. And also, coming up from that depth, you'd have to do several decompression stops (holding a specific depth for 3-5ish minutes) in order to let nitrogen diffuse from your blood so you don't get decompression sickness (nitrogen bubbles forming in your veins/joints, cutting off blood flow--DEFINITELY fatal if not treated quickly, and it doesn't even need to be that severe), which shortens the amount of time you can remain at the ocean floor even more. Spend one minute too long down there and you get to choose between dying of drowning and dying of decompression sickness.

Heya! I'm actually from San Marcos, Texas, and we have some springs that feed directly into one of our rivers named Aquarena Springs (Like in the caption of the photo). Anyway, in the early 20th century, there was a 'circus' of sorts that features the springs and the water. So, Glurpo was actually one of the attractions that was in our underwater circus!

there was a photo from 1999, and then right next to it was a photo dated to the year 3000, and then next to that a photo dated to 2000. I got the DS in 2013 ish. Weirdest part about it is all the photos were corrupted and I don't know if there is any way to change the date on a DS.

40:18 Scuba diver here-125 meters is HORRIFICALLY deep for untrained divers. Open-water certification is usually up to 18 meters (~60 feet), and the deepest you should EVER be going with mere recreational diving (as opposed to technical) is about 40 (~130 feet). If you haven't trained for years and years to do INCREDIBLY advanced technical diving, you ARE going to die if you think about going even close to 125 meters down.

28:00 This is true but doesn't tell the whole picture. A lot of mites specifically will feed on leaves and their 'saliva' essentially influences the plant to release extra growth hormones to protect itself. They're called Galls. A lot of mites will live inside these galls their whole lives. If you cut a mite's gall open, there is a very high chance that you will get a swarm of mites piling out. There can be 0, 1 or 2 mites or sometimes tens if not hundreds. They are like the mite equivalent of us building homes. I think at least some of the ones on that leaf are spangle galls which are caused by wasps though.
