This is why I never bad mouth Control. He's doing his own job just like us and it clearly pains him when teams don't make it out of Hoxxes. Especially when he has to listen to them scream for help over the comms.

The line "Safety Protocol my ass!" Implies that if we didn't have the minigame to unlock it and it was just always unlocked, then the glyphids would be flying with the boots instead. I find this hilarious personally.
The stalker seams to have been cut last second, as with the Sandbox mod for example you can spawn the thing and it has almost functioning behaviour. sometimes it just despawns but other then that it does seem to work

The fact that scanners pick up “strange activity” within the comet itself in the line before the line about space rig 5 being destroyed, I’m beginning to think there may be a sentience behind the rockpox, sorta like how in 40K tyranids are often underestimated as just feral beasts but are smarter than they appear, I feel like more could be done with the rockpox if we ever get to explore other aspects of the DRG universe

A dev confirmed it was an enemy that was cut from the production of season 4. That being said, seeing as how much they've put into it I really hope they add it eventually. It apparently is a cloaking bug that is immune to any form of lock on (turrets, Lok-1, and Bosco) while cloaked and will burrow and reappear like the menace if it takes too much damage over a certain period of time. From what I've read it does 84 damage on haz 5 and does a slowdown effect akin to the slasher. It can be uncloaked by damaging it or pinging it with the laser pointer. I can see why it was probably cut though since adding a hard to see enemy to an already difficult to see environment would be a pain in the ass. Though if it spawned about as often as a menace I don't think I would mind
