    1. Have you processed the example of your parents relationship?
    2. Have you grown past the pain of your previous situation?
    3. Are you whole enough to be honest about your personal shortcomings?
    4. Are you mature enough to handle another’s personal truth?
    5. Are you established in who you are to the point you know who fits* (i.e. self awareness)?
    =Are you ready for love?

When a person knows your struggle and it “scares” them off, they won’t be there in hard times. If they only love the perfect view and not the total person, they don’t have it in themselves to be supportive. But then, what are they afraid of facing in their lives? No need to go any further.

Yes! When a boy told me I had gone through too many problems, I immediately ended our situation. He let me know right there that he wasn’t strong enough to handle “for better or for worse”. He just wanted “for better”.

I definitely did" the me work"....10 years worth, of pruning, reflecting, and learning. . I'm ready and God has brought me a beautiful man. During those 10 years, I had to Learn me, love me and appreciate me. Letting go of past hurts, and bad relationships. Then I had to Learn selfless love, agape love, how not to bring singleness in a relationship. There came a point, I wanted my one, so I had to Learn us... Putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Who I am as a wife in Christ... Surrendering it all...surrendering bitterness, unforgiveness, low self esteem, my independent woman ways. God has shown me My God given position as a wife, to be a suit to my love. To a man who loves and appreciates me for whom I am. It took a lot of love lessons, great
videos like this one( Gby) , on my knees and surrendering it all. It's a process, but worth it in the end. Amen🙏

I can't even put into words how grateful I am for your videos. I didn't know how deeply I craved father guidance until I started listening to you talk about relationships, love and self-love. I grew up without conscious guidance from a father or father figure, and now that I see the profound impact that had on me, I understand why I have not been able to choose the right relationship for me, and why I am single at 43 years old. As I listen to your videos, part of my child self is growing up, getting the spiritual food I have always needed. I know now that I'm on my way to my best relationship, because I'm learning what I needed 30 years ago.
    Your work is so appreciated.

Melissa, I feel the same way, I had no God father figure. My dad left my mom after 10 years (cheating) . All my life I've been looking for that father figure and love and made so many bad bad choices. At the age of 49 I finally married again but it took 10 years to get us together, we've been married for almost 15 now. I wasn't really ready for marriage then. Wished I would have waited but God gave me grace and now peace. We work on our marriage but He had financial issues that he didn't tell me about due to his bitter divorce. He didn't put all his issues on the table. If I knew about them, I would have never married him due to me being debt free. And he also smoked weed which i didn't know about. He hid that well. But we finally are addressing that issue. He's working on it. Mind you he's a good provider and took care of his 2 girls until the age when child supports stop.
I pray for his soul. Mind you his parents was together but didn't care about each other, they finally divorced when he went to college, he came back home to visit and was shocked to see them spilt up. But he have no memories of them doing things together as a family. He wasn't really raised as doing husband and father responsibilities. But I continue to pray for his soul. We have more Good days than bad days though.

I understand. I'm not saying that your grandad wasn't good or anything, but your subconscious still knows that something was missing. Sometimes in situations like that we still deal with rejection. And because of that we allow substandard situations as a way of reclaiming what we feel we could/ would/ should have had. Beautiful and brilliant as always - Thank you!!! As an almost-50 year old who's caught her fair share of "Catfish" and still not found love, I can't help wishing that someone had taught me this when I was just a young girl😔. I believe that this wisdom should definitely be imparted to young people who are starting out on their life journey, so that they are equipped with such powerful tools from the outset BEFORE they start becoming romantically involved with anyone. So much damage and heartache could be prevented if we prepared young people to relate to themselves and others in a healthy God-centered way...to embody and practise love in the way it is defined and described in 1 Cor. 13:1-13. God bless you Pastor.❤

Then I saw this video last night as I went to bed disappointed because of this person's actions and knew God wanted me to watch it. This has helped me not to be upset for too long. I will get upset, even angry but not often, I purpose to let it go and sometimes let some people go or lessen my interaction with them.
I will not waste energy on people, I need these energy and also time to work on myself, to make ME a better, happier more productive person.

Joy Richerson-Colston that attitude is because she’s been hurt and disappointed over and over again. I rarely meet a man that is a provider. And too many married woman I know feel they can’t depend on their husband. I also believe women who NEED a man are needy. Needing a man implies I’m not whole without a man. But it’s human to WANT a man. A whole woman wants a man to build with. And when men think you NEED them they often take advantage. I don’t know when independence got such a bad rep. A whole woman knows how to show a man he has purpose in her life.

    • @joyricherson4570

Good evening Pastor Blake, every subject you bring to u-tube is a thump up spiritual mentally. I have never experience unconditional love from a man. I am Humble as a single woman and willing to wait on God plan for my life. My father is a very controlling man to his wife, I don't want a husband like was I seen from my father and my mother was kill. My unconditional love only came from my children. Please keep me in your pray. Not everyone had good example parent. God being good to me,whereas I didn't carry that curse to my children.

Extremely good message! I’ve worked for years now on myself or rather yielded and allowed the lord to work on me. Very few people are willing to do this in my opinion and experience.

True intimacy goes way beyond the physical. You have to know yourself first and like yourself. Then and only then can you truly love someone and find the right person who fits with you and wants a similar life with you. I pray for this.

Sadly, it was a stranger he sent me because happy marriages don't exist in my family. So that the person he bought into my life as an example has embraced me and willing to help. She is honest enough to say it took ALOT of HARD work to arrive to their happy place. Becoming WHOLE first is def the key! Best wishes doll! Rev!! Can I be honest here.... when you first married your wife and she married you. Can you honestly say you had ALL of these qualities. Most men are not established by 35 nevertheless earlier than 30 or even 20’s. So do you really need all of these at first or can you grow into this person as life allows you to grow??! Thanks Rev for your knowledge.

Hello Pastor Blake's..My name is Racquel.. I can't thank you enough for always coming through with exceptional advice.. This one in particular hit home for me, especially since I've had to question wether or not I am ready for a relationship after my past experiences.. Everything you've advised us on right here, I will take with me wherever I go.. YOU definitely are the Dad I didn't have while growing up and as much as I know my Dad would've given me advice, but it's unfortunate that he wasn't fully present in my siblings and i's lives after my Mom and His divorce.. Nevertheless, they are both deceased and GOD rest their souls,🕊️🙏 but I always feel like my DAD speaks to me through you and I am forever humbled and thankful for your time, patience, Love and ability to reach out and do what you do.. I wish all of GOD'S richest blessings to both you and your BEAUTIFUL wife Lisa and family.. Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you.. 🙏🙏🙏
