I based my Spiff narration on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. And yes, I know I mispronounced sacrificial. Cast: Me as Calvin, Hobbes, Spiff, and Miss Wormwood My mom as Calvin’s mom
I have a son who was so much like Calvin. He grew up, married, and has a family of his own now. I still have Calvin, though. The perennial 6 year old ADHD/ADD philosopher, pilot, and terror of parents, teachers, and little girls.
Calvin's teacher reminds of a sentence (supposedly written by a student back in the day): "I never knew what a dinosaur looked like until I met my 3rd grade teacher."!
My theory is that Calvin has ADHD, schizophrenia, and probably something else. This would explain why he's so smart for a 6 year old and imaginative, but yet he also can't sit still for very long and has trouble with authority. But there is a chance that some of the things he imagines could still actually be real, just to him. (IDK, I'm just one guy.)
I feel sorry for the poor fool who thinks he/she can capture the spirit of this comic strip and somehow revive it under another name. I can't think of any I have seen that have tried.

Not even Spaceman Spiff can escape Mrs. Wormwood.
This is exactly the voice I hear in my head every time I read Spaceman Spiff, how strange is that

I'm assuming he was/is your basic 6 year old.
Lamentations of genius?
Calvin and Hobbes, Danae and Lucy, some of my favorites.
The Spaceman Spiff stories are some of the best
Yeah, I need to do more of them.
Somehow, Calvin and Hobbes seems better to have it read to you, than reading it yourself.
