Buuuuut, because c7 has transverse foramina they love to test this: the vertebral artery doesnt pass through c7, it should come out in c6 and pass anteriorly. Just a fun fact!

You didn’t mention the posterolateral lip which is attached on the upper sides of the vertebral body! Or is it not necessary?
