    Thanks for making science simple, your videos are so easy to understand.🙏😊
    I have a doubt, ribs have 2 articulation surfaces dorsally, then why 3 costal facets??

      @sarahfayaz 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The superior costal facets articulate with the head of the numerically corresponding rib, the inferior costal facet articulates with the head of the next lower rib, the facet on the traverse process articulates with the tubercle of the rib

    good morning sir I am Aniket mishra from India I am pursuing my bachelors in physiotherapy (1st year ) I have a question related from thoracic vertebrae . There are two demi facets presents on each side ( lateral side ) of thoracic vertebrae in which the upper part of head of 2nd ribs articulate with inferior demi facet of T2 and lower part of the head of the 2nd rib articulate with superior demi facet.of T3 ...................................question is then why this rule/ way not work in 10th ribs 11th ribs 12th ribs and whats the articular surfaces of these vertebrae?

    • @confused_insaan
      @confused_insaan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because these ribs are not typical and have only one articular facet on their head therefore only one costal facet on corresponding vertebrae

    7 Cervical vertebrae
    12 Thoracic vertebrae
    5 Lumbar vertebrae
    The vertebrae have a transverse, Superior, and Inferior Side to them
