This song/live is like a religious experience. Uplifting. Men, women of all different colors and nationalities, singing and dancing on stage

It won a Grammy for best concert video. Peter was lead singer of Genesis in the 70s, before he went solo and Phil Collins went from drums to lead singer.
Her's was the last concert I attended.... February, Park City some years ago... maybe 2019? hard to say.

One of my favorite concert tours which I was fortunate enough to see live. The musicianship and production were breathtaking. And, in the same full concert video, Paula Cole performs wonderful version of “Don’t Give Up” with Peter Gabriel where she takes a greater part in the vocals. Love your reactions, Emma!

I"ve probably seen 8 or 10 "First reaction" videos to this performance, and it's so fun seeing y'all experience the sheer joy of this masterpiece for the first time. For me, this may be the finest live musical rock performance on TH-cam. A celebration of life and music of the world. RIP Papa Wemba.

I saw this tour in Calgary, and it remains my favourite concert of all time, hands down. I also got to see him play with Sting a few years back in Toronto, and that just brought back aall those same warm memories :)

I saw Peter the next year after this at Woodstock 94. This song (altered with World music elements added years after he recorded it.) still pulses through my brain regularly.
He wrote this song for a woman he dated in the early 80s, Rosanna Arquette (sister Patricia, and brother David) from a modeling/acting family. (she famously made a cameo in Pulp Fiction). The band TOTO also had a front man who dated her the next year inspiring the song ROSANNA. Only 1 other woman is celebrated more in music and that is Patti Boyd, ex wife of Eric Clapton and George Harrison with easily 10 popular songs written about or for her.
I'm 65. I started listening to Peter Gabriel in 1970 with Genius. I was lucky enough to see both live. Peter Gabriel twice. First album and SO concert

Peter Gabriel was so 80s. Good singer. Loved his "Red Rain." He was with Genesis way back.
Peter lives and breathes diversity and internationalism; his only 'rival' in that is Paul Simon. Both are superb musicians, performers and, well, human beings.
As some have already suggested Shaking The Tree is another fantastic song featuring Paula.
I’ll also recommend Here Comes The Flood and Downside up from with his daughter on another tour.

Hello Emma. One band you should check out is Dirty Loops. Amazing band and the singer got insane range and runs. Would highly recommend ''Hit me'' ''Next to you'' for the vocal performance.
