So frustrated. Can not copy to my One Note. It Comes up, but I do not understand "long press" in order to copy. I have OneNote for Windows 10 installed. Please help?? I loved your video BTW. I have been wanting to get into Digital Planners for a while not, but I do not want an Apple product.

I wanted this to work so bad, I loved the video and the templates, but although my email is personal I cannot copy the planner templates. You could make a video on how to download/install in case we are missing something (just a suggestion).

very well done. I started digital planning in october and was so frustrated with onenote and the lack of clickable link tabs, that i bought an ipad just to use goodnotes. Thank you for making this available to us. So grateful. I do love both programs, but use goodnotes more for my digital planner, although I did set up a digital planner in onenote also. This will be great for newbies to digital planning in onenote. thanks for taking the time to do this.

@@VanityLuxe they do BUT the planner needs to be made inside onenote for them to work. You can't buy just any planner to use in one notes if you want the links to work. Unlike goodness or noteshelf.

Very Cool I've been using hard copy planners and journals for almost 40 years. I attempted using them online, but didn't care for them because they were so dull and hard to input info. ! I just learned about digital planners last week, but thought I would have to buy an IPad to use one. This tutorial was very helpful. I was able to download, copy and use the planner you created. You have the old version of OneNote on your windowscomputer then. The updated version looks like the ipad version on the computer. :)

I have ordered the free planner.
I can open it but I fail to copy. The calendar just does not allow me to copy the individual tabs (January - December, stickers, templates etc).
It does show the plus icon for copying, but when I drag and drop into my own OneNotes file the corresponding tab does not appear. What am I doing wrong? I would love to use the calendar as it is great. Many greetings from Evelyn

thanks for the amazing resource, I may have done something wrong though, as every month planner (january, february etc, the ones on top of the sections) are all with a text "KM" in every cell, overlapping the number of the day of the month. any way to remove them? thank you!

You can use floral png stickers to decorate your planner.

I will thank you if you help me. I'm planning my first digital planner. And I'm having a problem. I designed the planner. I already want to do a hyperlink. But it seems to me something illogical. If I have 4 pages for the daily planner. Do I need to double them 365 times and make links to them? If I want an annual planner ... that sounds illogical to me. Do I need to create a hyperlink to all the pages to associate them with each day of the year? Or during use it will be possible to save it for a certain day of the year ...

As stated in the video, if your OneNote account is connected to a SCHOOL/WORK organization (as most people who use OneNote, this is case), then you won't be able to copy the sections to your OneNote (this is Microsoft's restrictions, not my own)! Create a personal account on OneNote, create a new notebook, and then copy the read only sections into that notebook (shown in the video). It's very similar to copying a "read only" file from one Google Drive to another. 😊

Same here. I'm also attempting it from a desktop so I don't have a touchscreen to "long press". I'm looking into getting a Surface for multiple reason and wanted to start digital planning on it too. Wanted to check out how it works on onenote before I drop the money on the Surface. Are you able to copy the sections from a desktop or does it only work on a mobile device??

I described it in the video! Use the link in my description to access the planner, sign into your Microsoft OneDrive and copy the read-only file into a notebook you created on your OneNote.
So I cannot annotate on it bcoz I am not able to select and copy it. Plz reply
Thanks for the video. If I already have a planner (pdf) can I import that into onenote, or does it have to be a planner designed specifically for onenote?
You can use insert to pull in any pdf planner but you'll have to sort it and none of the interactive links will work.
For links or the pages to be organized you need a one note planner specifically.
Hi Kirstin, I'm having a little trouble getting the downloaded planner off of read-only. I have a Microsoft surface pro 7, I thought it would be super easy since I already have OneDrive but I am stuck at this part. Hopefully you can advise. It doesn't let me long click and select the files to copy.

For anyone having problems downloading the planner here is how i did it.
I opened one drive from my laptop or computer then clicked on the link KD sent.
it went straight into my one drive on the shared tab. Then i selected the whole file and on the top bar there is an option that says copy to... Clicked there and copied it to my documents file where all the other notes are.
Once the copie was complete i download on my device the one drive app and then opened the april tab. It instantly transfered me to the one notes app and saved the whole planner there.

No, this isn't right. You can use OneNote digital planners on Android tablet. You won't be able to use them if your OneNote account is connected through a school/work organization per Microsoft's restrictions (none of my own, which is stated in the video). I share how you need to copy the sections of the "read only" file into your own notebook in OneNote, just as you would copy a read only file from a Google Drive to your own. :)

You do a good job of explaining the planner, but you didn't show us how to get the planner into OneNote. How do you get it from another source and make it a functional part of OneNote? How do you even get the planner into OneNote?

It does. You’ll need to make sure your OneNote account isn’t through a corporate/school/etc. It needs to be *personal* account. These are restrictions by Microsoft. I walk through this in the video.

Love OneNote! My entire professional life is in my OneNote!! Why shouldn’t we use this planner with our business accounts?
Microsoft doesn't allow file-sharing like this to business accounts.
How do u imported the plaaner into one note. There is no option to import full books. When I tried to share it goes in as a file that I now have to open in another app. Il have to find another video to figure that out. Eventhough I watched others. They all started out with the planner allready in it. No import option all.
I share in the video how to copy over the planner :) OneNote doesn't allow you to import full notebooks. You'll need to select each section and copy over into a blank notebook you already have prepared (this is shown in the video)

@@OhHeyMonica You need to be signed in into your Microsoft/One Note account already in the browser you are using, then once you open the link she sent in your email, it should ask you to open the one note app, then you will able to create a new notebook and copy/paste each section, however this is a 2021 calendar so you will need to update the dates

If you haven’t already, watch until the end pls :) I share how to write/use it. It’s read only, so people on the internet don’t accidentally delete or make changes to it. You’ll need to make your own copy of it to use. More details in the video.

OneNote has a "faux" infinite page. There's not defined page sizes. You can remedy this by just pinching in with you fingers to get a zoom that you like!

You must have a personal OneDrive account. Make sure it is not linked to your employer or school. You’ll then sign in and create a copy to your own OneDrive account. Think of it like Google - if someone shares a read-only version of something, you have to copy it to your own drive. I describe this in the video! ☺️

I'm on a windows laptop and I can't long press on the tabs to select them. Doesn't do anything. Tried right clicking and it is all grayed out since it is a read only file. I'm stuck :(

I think this tutorial is a little outdated for 2023. I had to jump through about 45 minutes of hoops to get a copy downloaded from my PC to my Tab S7+. I guess only girls use planners so I'll have to get used to the pink LOL! Or maybe upgrade if I end up using it a lot. Thank you very much!

This is so it’s not edited by the people it’s shared with (anyone that watches this video). I share in the video that you need to create a notebook on your OneNote account and then copy the sections over into the notebook that was created. It’s no different than the “make a copy” feature when Google read-only files are shared. I hope this helps! 😊
