replaced the starter on my 2013 Sonata over this weekend. Very helpful video. in my car, the electricals on the starter were not at all visible so I had to take the starter off before.
Followed your video exactly and it came out perfect. Exactly what he said to remove. You have to do it to do this job right and it went along very well.Thank you so much.Saved me a ton of time time Keith
Unlike in most of your videos, here you did not provide a clear prospective like where exactly the starter is located. Also when removing the nuts of the starter and putting them back I have no idea if you were doing it from under the car or from the top. All the the time the camera was too close to the nuts and bolts.
Many of these steps are unnecessary, and just make the job more difficult. Remove all parts up top, as described, DO NOT touch anything underneath car. Leave the shielding, leave the bracket. Undo the 2 mounting bolts, unclip zip-tie retainer on starter cable harness, starter can now be turned, so you can easily reach cable and solenoid wire. Turns an hour job into ten minutes.

I've installed 4 of these in the past. I didn't take anything loose up top except the negative battery cable.
What was the point of removing everything up top if you were just going to install it from the bottom

How much would you charge for just the installation? I feel I’m being overcharged 😢

Is this the same removal for a azera of the same year?

+@Noormuffin Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team. 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Or just take the starter out from the bottom, in 1/3 the time
Hyundai says remove the intake also, I just saw this done, from the top ,nothing from the bottom took about 15 minutes to get it out

That's more work? 🥵
Wtf all this to replace the starter?
Really bad advice. He should have said in the beginning that you need to have access from above and under the car!
That vid is AWFUL
