COME ONNNNNNNNNNN, When you speak about your job part and responsability of living alone, I'm EXACTLY in the same case !!!!! I'm gonna move in Romania in few days, in the same job that you mentionned !! I'm so greateful that Romania gives me that chance to have a better quality of live than in my country. Over there, I can continue developping my online business and have a quite good fix income. I moved mainly for the same reason than you and your video reassured me on this main point. Thank you for your video !

Bună Noah, eres preciosa 😍 Me alegro mucho que estés disfrutando en mi país. Quizás vuelva, llevo muchos años en España y ya no me gusta tanto la vida aquí 😂
You haven't mentioned classical music but the biggest Romanian composer is George Enescu and you should at least check out the Romanian Rhapsody as that's gonna be something you are very familiar with. You can also check out Ciprian Porumbescu if you want. Oh and Gheorghe Zamfir is very important to Romania, a pan flute player. Traditional music there is a lot and traditional dances are like a few dozen different ones but on top of traditional music and also kinda part of that are the Xmas carols named Colinde and there are a lot of them.
Food related many soups, many pickles. Also, folks from Latin America tend to love the eggplant salad, likely you have tried it by now. And ofc you can also try zacusca, icre, salata de beuf or something super basic that no foreigner has ever tried like pasta de peste (fish paste). And i suppose you are not really a foreigner anymore since you are staying in RO for the long term but let's say that , for now, you are a partial foreigner. Home made cakes actually, they are quite good and there are dozens of different ones but it's a bit harder to find them in retail. Mushrooms are pretty good in RO so do try dishes that have mushrooms.
glad to see you're enjoying romania, to bad you discovered you're lactose just before you were about to dive in this universe of cheese that we have here, best ones are those that come direct from the shepards or small farmers, in all of europe i have never found chees like in this place, to bad we don't know how to market it abroud , due to our cultural hicup of not liking advertising
Funny story absolut how Romania change people. I have a colleague in Cluj who is from Equador and he is having here about 5 years. In this summer he went home for the vacation and there he went with his dad pickup truck to a restaurant. At some point, he went to the bathroom and he did this like in Romania, leaving his phone and the car keys on the table... Well, the police found the pickup truck two weeks later in another town but never found his phone again😂
Omggg!!! I think even if you live in a safe country you always must be alert, like not forget the way you were taught to be careful so this kind of things doesn’t happen🥲
Unfortunately I could not tell you about this, because my situation is very different and I can only speak about my experience but you can find the information you need if you get the the page of the embassy of Romania.
Hi, little tip for buying cumin. Try any Arabic/ Lebanese/ Syrian specialty stores, they have the good stuff. Or nowadays, I guess you can try Sri Lankan/ Indian specialty stores, because we have so many immigrants from these countries, they are sure to keep cumin seeds as well, next to their other specific spices.
Thank you so much!!! There is a section in Obor in which you can buy spices from these countries, I never thought I could find cumins there!! But yes!! Next time I go, I will see if I can find. Thanks a lot for the tip 🥰
@@FoxxNoah, you are welcome. Yes, the store in Obor should have it (I lived near Obor for 12 years, it was my go to store for spices) but be aware that they might not be so fresh, as they are sold in bulk/ called "vrac" in Romanian and they are kept somehow in the open air most of the day. You should also be aware of the little difference between cumin and caraway in Romanian. Cumin is chimion and caraway is chimen. They sound very much alike and some people dont really know the difference between these two. Chimen/ caraway is used in our traditional cuisine but not chimion/ cumin, I cannot think of one dish that uses it.
Pls can you do a video of how much a single can earn and save in Romania after taxes and bills etc. I want to come to Romania 🇷🇴 but people are discouraging me from coming saying it is a poor country and they do not pay well, how true is it? Please can you elaborate? Thank you.
It depends on many factors and the country you come from, In my case I could do a video of how a single person can safe money here in Romania but it would not be realistic cause I live with my husband and we both share our expenses, so that gives you the chance to maybe save a little more. I do not see Romania as a poor country at all, it is a beautiful country and the cost of living is lower than in other countries in Europe, so with lower salaries we can live comfortably, at least from my experience, cause in the end, I think salaries are designed for you to be able to live, but not to be rich(salaries of normal people) if you study a nice career than your income will be better, but in general it is like this in every country. And yes you may earn more in other countries but you will also have to spend more to live there, so I guess it depends on many factors.
So,lemme get it straight: you've been here for what, like couple of years, you work here, you spek English like a native(almost) and yet,you cannot have a decent conversation in Romania?
I’ve been here for a year and a half…most of the people I met spoke English or Spanish. My job is in English and Spanish, no need for Romanian and I never saw myself in the situation of having to learn the language to be able to communicate with people. And of course when you go live to a country the least you could do is learn the language. And I will, I’m starting a course soon, I should’ve done it before but for many reasons I didn’t…..and well…..I hope I can soon have a decent conversation in Romanian 😊🥰 I can say I do understand a lot, and know many words, but here in Bucharest people talk sooooo fast, and confuses me a bit 🙂🥲😂
Cause I want to learn, I believe a big part of integrating in society when you live in a new country is learning the language and being able to communicate with locals🥰
@@FoxxNoah I agree, but that's up to you. I find it extremely pretentious of people to feel like they're owed for others to learn a language solely because you might be in their presence. Of course it helps a lot to learn the language to better integrate and of course you want to integrate because humans are social creatures. But you have zero obligation to do it for others. You should do it only because you feel it's useful.
Pls make a video about the music you like and listen. I like many singers/bands from Latin America: Karol G, Bomba Estereo and from Spain also (Penelope). Hi. I want to make a comment on the foods you mentioned earlier: sarmale, mici, slănină. If you eat these things, your health will suffer seriously from these foods. Obesity, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, etc.
absolute bullshit. There's no link to any sort of cancer and these foods. Obesity, hbp, stroke can be caused by eating obscene amounts of anything and it's absolutely irrelevant whether it's sarmale, mici, and slănină, or plantanes, avocados, and sea fruits.
Hi! You did a funny mistake in your video, when you talked about food - it was about Goulash. It’s not a romanian traditional food. I would rather give the credit, to our neighbour, Hungary. If we have to decide about our traditional soup/chorba, I guess I would go with: ciorba de burtă, ciorba Radauteana, or ciorbă de perișoare (I still remember that this chorba, was made by the jews people who lived in our country). Anyway, nice video. Enjoy your stay în România. Ignore the comments from natio-tards, who are mad about people from other countries coming here. You are more then welcomed here!
@@FoxxNoahha-ha! It’s ok, don’t worry, no harm done. Hungarian food is pretty popular in regions like Transylvania and Banat. You should try kurtos kalacs, if you have a shop in Bucharest.
