Just a contribution and a but...
The contribution is that it could also be checked by the anti-particulate filter. In 2.0 tdi (for example) its maximum volume of ash in oil is 175ml and is for 250,000kms, so we would look at this value in OBDeleven and see if the results add up. That is, for 150,000kms it should have a value around 105ml.
The but is that the multimedia method is not very reliable, because we have to make many assumptions, even so it is good to give us an idea.

I have got a different question; I belive that you are a real expert in the field and you might have answer to my question.
I have got a late 2018; (MY 10/2018 UK Registered) Skoda superb Estate Executive SE-L 2.0TDI DSG (3v5) also called combi as you prabably know more than me.
I got my original Speedometer changed with a Virtual cockpit and I would like to activate the ambient light function, Because some of the genuine colours sre not present on the Virtual cockpit. The Virtual cockpit; Instead of displaying genuine various coukr on different screen section; The majority of the screens are gray/blackish? Other than the setting adjsutment screen where you can choose various options through the thumb wheel.
Could you please give me the instruction how to enable the ambint light on the above given Car?

Hello, i have one question. On my obdeleven when i enter in live data i dont have search, i can only switch through channels. Do you know maybe how can i search words?
If it asking you for channel page usually there is little arrow on the top you can press to get menu to choose from...But if you use iPhone i am not sure if there is one also because I use Android

No arrow on iOS app. You can enter 1 and then swipe through channels and wait for some searching for kilometers info. Its a bit tedious and usually seller wont wait for you 20 minutes xD

For renault you can only read engine codes I think, you won't see all these data.
Why does my obd11 give me channel number to select instead of a text list?
It does it for older cars, but there should be a little dropdown menu where you can select live data. It is hard to see I discovered it after few months.
If its not there you have to just navigate trough live data one by one.

They can be changed but not with OBD11/VCDS. You would need something like VCP to change it.

i couldnt find real mileage, i seen the inspection history after i bought it that said different mileage then the speedo
speedo says 236k KM but last inspection said 313k km but there is no way to put back the milleage, i dont care if its 240k i just want to see my real mileage that is 313k km i still only paid 2k for my audi a6 v6 3.0 c5 but i did get stiffed a bit, fake mileage (last inspection was april 2024 it said 313k when i bought it in may 2024 it said 236k and also the inspection he gave me said all was fine and it passed but online it says refused... in april 2024 but the one he gave me said passed 18/02/24, but yeah my own fault didnt nottice the inspection paper was a copy...
car drives fine its audi burn a bit of oil and needs a timing belt last done was 2008 with 155k km and probably a gearbox flush cause i cant find any history about it..
first time i got lets say scammed on car but am not mad about it, just need to fix the airbag light do a inspection again and have some friend do the timing belt and gearbox oil change.
If you have 313k inspection you still don't know if its fake or real mileage its even higher, just enjoy the car :) I always wanted to buy one of those c5 3.0
@@iamcarhacker i mean if i check history it seems fine it was a dealer car i looked like had been passed around from dealer to dealer, but there some odd things, like from 2017 till 2022 it only did 100km like it went from 285400km to 285560km ish and then from 2022 till 2024 inspection it last had 313k km... just very odd 5 years only 100 km.. but from 2022 - 2024 i have receipt, but it stoped being noted in the dealership book around 2010 then mistery... till 2021
its odd but i couldnt find in vcds the real mileage to be sure, cause it said at 145k km it had new engine taht was like 2008 i think (acording to the book from dealership all hand writing) and a timing belt at 155k km (again confusing if cause how many miles had the engine they put in)
yeah am enjoying it but i do need ot hit up my friend for the timing beld cause if it was done at 155k km in 2008 ish and the car real KM is 313k km it probably needs one. otherwise i already done like about 1500km with it no problems. drives straight, gearbox replies quick. just sucked i got scammed on the inspection cause i need that to put it on my name... but i need ot fix airbag
overal great car doh big boy but drives likes a solid rock. needs some attention. wish it was a manuel gearbox but cant always choise what you went...
