Lots of memories brought back. Have paddled the Suwannee several times with several weeks on the river. Most trips started just short of the sill at the Okefenokee Swamp from the Lem Griffis fish camp.

I'm glad to hear that this video brought back some good memories. That makes this all worth while so thank you for letting me know that. I have a couple more videos on the Suwannee if you haven't seen them. Thanks again.

Brings back memories from our Boy Scout nine day trip starting at Fargo Ga. Ending at the Florida Sheriffs boys ranch. Fifty seven years ago (1963), I am back at the river again to finish to the gulf. Nine canoes and many merit badges.

Thanks for the comment Don, that sounds like it was an awesome trip. It's one of the most scenic rivers I've ever seen.

are you still with the boy scouts?

@@donvaughan8335 Yes Sir, I was a Scout in the 1970's and today I am Asst. Scoutmaster of a good size troop north of Atlanta. The troop is canoeing the Suwannee again in Feb. and the Scouts are pretty excited about it, it's one of their favorite trips. Your 9 day trip sounds epic though. Did you say you are going back?

@@OutsideDog I think I am closing on a lot on the Withlacoochee this Thursday (water and electric on lot). 150 waterfront 3.9 miles north of the Suwannee River state park. Looking forward to doing all the rivers there. Withlacoochee, Santa Fe and finish to the gulf on the Suwannee. I did the first 40 miles of the Chipola, 55 miles on the Choctawhatchee from the bay to Morrison Springs twice, Black River 35 miles to the state park. If I can support you in any way let me know.
