I wonder how a consumption based and import dependent economy like Pakistan will emerge from the current imbroglio? Frankly, there is only one way to alleviate their suffering. And I am confident that the Pakistani elite know well that the only way is to improve relations with India at any cost. Even if they have to give up the Kashmir pipe dream, which I suspect will be India’s price for starting trade with Pakistan. I know that the Pakistani elite, including the Pakistani Army knows that India is the only remedy because of the proliferation of podcasts openly and proudly discussing their Indian heritage and talking about the wars lost against India.
