It's actually from the Specter(Basically God's avatar of Vengeance.) the loop is actually an attempt to have John Constantine protected from the crime of changing a Timeline. Only to end up in a fate far worse that Lucifer could cook up on his Hell Kitchen. Not even Death can be comparable to what John Constantine fell to after escaping the loop.

I like to think Johnny's final punishment after this is to always try to keep the Muliverse from happening again. Goes through Time over and over again keeping things aligned. He does this under the guise of Phantom Stranger. Enchantment from being recognized, insanely powered due to mastery of multiple schools of magic, been through multiple time loops so he knows what's going on, tasked by gods and monsters, angels and demons. No rest. That would be Constatine's Eternal Punishment.

I love how this storyline was brewing all the way since the Flashpoint movie. They were never reboots, but other timelines playing themselves out.
If they only had this forward thinking in the live action movies.

Tbh, John kinda is a bastard that fucks with powers beyond human understanding that he shouldn't & sometimes makes things worse as a result (though he helps too, usually to his own benefit)

In fact, Blonde Male characters only have 5 pre-judice roles (calling them architypes is pointless) when they are portrayed in - 1. Comic relief 2. Scared or disfigured 3. Comically Evil or 100% Betrayal material or the classic mind controlled 4. Flamboyant or weak minded 5. Heroic Sacrifice or Brutal Death. You will not find a SINGLE media in all modern literature where these 5 prejudices don't exist or overlap. In fact, they are so concrete, you can predict the entire story by using blonde male as a reference.
We begin in the end of this movie. Arguably one of the most trash movies if not the most trash movies in the DC roster, wich is saying something. Why is it so trash? We'll cause in the comics we write these characters to be basically unbeatable demi gods but in this movie we kll them offscreen to grunts.
