That was the ONLY way to strip and clean the wall mounted unit. Thorough job, exactly what I like to see. Hope a lot of service engineers learn from this. 🇬🇧
I get what your saying but realistically most service guys would love to complete jobs to standards like this but there companies only allocate them a hour or so to do it. Which just drops there standards. Multiple times I’ve walked on site to unit that has not long been “serviced” and had going after a few hours servicing it properly. So its the service companies that need to learn from this video not so much the engineers.
Believe it or not, I had a mini lime do exactly the same thing on a Daikin unit in a comms room. When I got there the floor was extremely flooded as the unit had obviously been running in cooling mode for quite some time before the fault was discovered. Whoever installed the unit obviously didn't wire the alarm cables in from the pump as they had been cut off. Luckily I always carry a spare pump and replaced it "like for like", but this time with the alarm cables connected. I just love that little karcher......I've never seen one like that before. As a side note I don't know why some people install wall or ceiling mounted evaporators in greasy kitchens ......its been my nightmare for years trying to clean these. 🤣 Awesome video again buddy, great job 👍😁
Cracking video as always, like brand new. Great tips for us folk who don't always work on wall mounts units. To be fair, you said it at least 34 times! Keep up the good work lad 🤙🏼
Hi from france! Pretty sure it was 13 times (with the ones in your mind would have been almost a million ^^) For the fan: if you just unscrew two or three turns, you'll take it off and never loose it again. For the louvers motors, unscrew the two screws that hold the plastic so you don't have to unplug and can rinse as much as you want! Really like ur vids man, thanks for sharing all your tips, keep going!!!
What a great video tbf! It iwas very satisfying to see you perform your magic on that mini split 😀👍🌱🌱 my most hated word is ‘literally’ have you noticed a lot of youtubers and even commenters are using it? I think it’s such a long and (mostly) pointless word 🤣🤣👍
You make that look so easy.. 95% of my work is refrigeration, that's why i love your channel, your tips makes me look like a ac pro at work😁 Is daikin harder or easier to take apart to clean
😅 Glad they help mate ! Some Daikin units are pretty straight forward too as are some of the other manufacturers. But you also get a few that are a nightmare. Can’t get to the fan grub screw without stripping it to within an inch of its life etc
I’ve got a very similar model to this one at home, I’m just wondering how the condensate gets to the tray from the section of coil that goes down the back of the unit. There must be a secondary tray.
the last sauermann pump I dealt with had 120v going across the normally open dry contacts, got zapped while working in a confined attic, watch those things
Nice work and Clean, thats wunderful. The old Mini Green Pump is bad, the new one from Aspen is better and quieter. I've never seen the little Sauermann pump in Germany. We wait for a new Video 👌
You must have said it a good 10 times to be fair . Although probably less than in past videos , especially the tool reviews 😅 Very neat job , I reckon I would have probably broken a couple plastic tabs or something . That Sauerman pump is pretty good , seems pretty durable from my experience. Aspen is supposedly very quiet but I'm not really convinced .
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 The actually cleaning doesn’t take too long. It all depends on how far away your water source is and how far you have to hump your gear. Usually between 1-2 hours all in and packed away 👍🏼
@@hvacuk8975 yeah that’s what I was thinking mate, I think that this should be the norm for unit maintenance, not just filter clean and a wipe, however you’re not always given a realistic time to get this kind of detailed cleaning done… 🙄
I got an office block with with ten units, ducted units that is. I got six hours every three months for maintenance. Filter gets clean, controller checked, outdoor unit checked thats as fast as I can go. Did I mention the water tap is on the roof 😵🤪🤩
I think your videos are great, do you have any recommended companies to look at for training? really thinking of moving into the industry looks so much more interesting than the factory work I'm doing :)
Those 1/4 hose lines always pop off the anti siphon joiner, will try using those spring clips next time. They're not supplied in the kits just cable ties
Awesome video Will, do those condensate pumps wire straight into the indoor unit connnections or do you need a separate feed? I rekkon 13 “to be fairs”, Thanks again for sharing mate 👍🏼
TBF I'd say 29 times, crackin' content fella 👍. I do gas and electrics at present, Aircon and refrigeration would be something I'd like to do in the near future. What would be the best approach to training and qualifications? Thanks.
Can i pick your brain a minute. In door unit 4cm from top of unit to room celing. Instructions state 15cm. What would be the detrimental impact in your experience. In a uk house installed as a luxury but want it mounted above door not in full sight.
Greetings from Greece man! Iam seeing your videos a lot time ago and i see that you make a lot of jobs with Daikin a/c units.I am a refrigeration technician but my workis mostly in commercial refrigeration and now i have a azas sky air with alarm code u4. I check everything, my cebles,my PCBs and with advice from Daikin Greece i change the out door unit PCB with new one.The same problem plus a code at out door unit in 7segment display LE and something like S flashes 10 times together with AHP led and then shut off. I asked everyone here, Daikin dont give me an explanation iam desperate man. It's a 3 year old unit in perfect condition! I will appreciate if you help me!
Good job. Very satisfying to see it so much cleaner and working correctly.
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 It is strangely satisfying. Not going to lie, I quite like a deep clean now and then 😅👍🏼
12 times?
Love the videos by the way. On days I'm not really feeling my job these videos can motivate me to crack back on
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 That’s one of the reasons I do the videos too, try to keep myself on it ! 👍🏼👍🏼
What a professional, great video 😀
Great one Mate! It will help a lot of people ! Sure of that
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 Hopefully it does 👍🏼👍🏼
Great Vid. I recently passed my exams and looking to get in the game so these videos help out a lot. Thanks

Mitsubishi electric splits are my favourite to

Clean and very quite

The thing about the sour man S1 10 condensate pumps is the captive plastic float , the float fills with condensate and then don’t float anymore haha
To be fair 15 times, mitsubisi are the bomb to be fair.Great vids from downunder. 👍
youre really great at what you do, thanks for the educational video

hello good morning
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, greetings from Argentina
12 Times, first being at 6:20 - must be a record on how long you didn’t say it for!
Great vid could you give advice on daiken water cooled condenser unit
the last sauermann pump I dealt with had 120v going across the normally open dry contacts, got zapped while working in a confined attic, watch those things
What do you use for a head that's in a kitchen caked with grease? Got one that gets bad enough to have a layer of grease in the drain pan. To be fair.
Nice work and Clean, thats wunderful.
The old Mini Green Pump is bad, the new one from Aspen is better and quieter.
I've never seen the little Sauermann pump in Germany.
We wait for a new Video 👌
What do you use for spray and coil cleaner live in Hawaii so might be different also really like your new hand pump
Wow, much easier than Daikin walk mounts. Their drip trays are one moulded piece which can’t be removed
Great video will how you like that m12 vacuum?
I adapted my galo gun to connect to the hose using a straight connector
Looks good, we started using Clorox when cleaning these as well. To help with any kill mold, No clue if it helps a ton but in theory should help.

That sauermann pump spares box is hard to fine. Just googled it 🤔 can not find it. Help. Climate centre code?
To be fair lol its your catchphrase. 28?
Good as new mate!
Been looking for one of those bags for doing split cleaning, is that the one wolsley sell?
Nice video 👌, how long would this take you from start to finish just the maintenance side?
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 The actually cleaning doesn’t take too long. It all depends on how far away your water source is and how far you have to hump your gear. Usually between 1-2 hours all in and packed away 👍🏼

Those 1/4 hose lines always pop off the anti siphon joiner, will try using those spring clips next time. They're not supplied in the kits just cable ties
Yes mate, quite a bit more tension using these clips so I’m hoping they’ll do the job 👌🏼👍🏼

In the UK you'd need to get an F Gas qualification.
I completed mine in June at a place in Chesterfield👍🏻
Great stuff mate
Question, how much would you charge as a private job to do a full strip down deep clean?
28 times. Until you brought it up I didn't notice....to be fair 🤣

A other great vid and very helpful and you said to be fair 12 times ha ha
Great job! To be fair I'd like to know how much time this job took you in total?
they really need to redesign the anti syphon connector on the mini lime, being slick it does tend to blow off no matter how hard you clamp down on it
I reckon it was about 12 times I find myself saying do you know what i mean a lot 🤣🤣
Can i pick your brain a minute. In door unit 4cm from top of unit to room celing. Instructions state 15cm. What would be the detrimental impact in your experience.

To be fair I only heard it 10 times. Actually not too bad really 👍

Look like leaking above the unit from the stained tile above it!
Yes mate, that’s where the condensate pump anti syphon has popped off a couple of times in the past 👍🏼👍🏼
