@@centhron89 no, he is implying it isn't a submachine gun because he follows it up saying " the manual identifies the Aug as a sniper rifle" implying that both are wrong.
well...for real challege, Die Hard Trilogy (1996)! you've said it! I remember back at the time when I used to read the PC Gamer magazine with a CD full of demos and when I played the game, specially because I love the movie, I realized how deceiving and biased reviews can be! now there's youtube, it doesn't matter anymore...hehehehe!
I gotta admit...I loved this game as a child.
I was a big fan of the first three Die Hard movies at that time and got it for Christmas. At least in French John McClane had Bruce Willis' official voice actor.
You mentioned Die Hard Vendetta...I actually enjoyed that game given it was a romp through LA with John McClane and some other familiar characters through some iconic real locations including Manns Chinese Theater and Universal Studios, to name two. Is a review for that in the works maybe?

9:05 The manual is wrong. The AUG/StG.77 is an assault rifle. In its standard A1 configuration, it has combination sights. More specifically, a scope with backup iron sights on top for greater tactical flexibility. To fire it properly, a left-hander would have to fire it right-handed unless it was converted to left-handed configuration with a left-handed bolt conversion. Very forward-thinking design for its time. Also, an M-60 can only be properly fired right-handed.
9:45 Being a left-handed shooter, myself, I'd favor the relatively ambidextrous M-16 over the side-specific AUG. If McClane had to ditch his issued Beretta during the incursion, he'd better retrieve it afterward, otherwise he'll get chewed out by his captain.
10:29 Yeah, but no HK slap. They never get that right in the movies either. In T2, a left-handed SWAT operator played by a real-life left-handed SWAT operator performs a left-handed HK slap.

I always felt die hard vengence was like the unreleased die hard movie. Your still john mcclaine and most of the characters from previous movies are in it. E.g the chief , his daughter , the reporter dick , not sure of some of the villians are known or not

Now this is a game that could benefit from a MAJOR mod overhaul. I would kill for a current gen Die Hard game that tried to do what this game did but not suck. In a perfect world have Rockstar games develop it along with Remedy and have VR support.
I'd love to see that happen. If Rockstar can make a good game adaptation of a cult classic like _The Warriors_, then I'm sure that they can do one for _Die Hard_.
At the part where the lady said that the channel is for emergancy calls only, I was expecting the funniest insult.

It's best if anyone played Die Hard Trilogy, but they also burchered the famous quote "Yippiekiya, motherfucker" as they have just "Yippiekiya"! But the game is still great
There are two types of people out there. Those who don't believe that Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie and those who are wrong.
Die Hard Trilogy was likely the better attempt at a Die Hard game, but I still remember picking thus one up and having some fun. Any chance there will be reviews for the Aliens Vs Predator games?

Really I don't see how a full game could work for one movie. The Die hard trilogy got it right for making 3 games for each movies and are just right.

They should of gotten voice clips from the actual film, because the acting is downright awful.

I got a chance to watch the original Die Hard movie and I can see why it's a classic by many. A highlight for me has to be the fight between John and Karl.
I haven't even played this game before and frankly after seeing the gameplay, I'd rather not just to save my brain cells. I'll just stick to the movie instead.

played worse games than this although it does have that oldschool early 2000s feel that I like in games I would give it 6 and a half out of ten it doesnt compare to games like max payne 1 or deus ex

Believe it or not Die Hard Vendetta is even worse than this.
Is it? Haven't played enough of it to form an opinion yet. I think what makes this as bad as it is, is that it's a video game adaption of an amazing film. And it does not reflect what makes the film great. That, and the gameplay is just awful.
