When I was just a teenager 1960s a friend a couple of blocks over introduced me to "high fidelity". It was a "shed" behind his parents house and I only remember that it was a Scott (tube) amplifier and an 8 inch Electrovoice speaker. It might have been a monophonic amp, I am not sure , but at that time I had never heard anything that sounded that good. One of the tunes was Preston Epps "Bongo rock". He stated" "Scott makes a fairly decent amplifier". My major interest was ignited that day.

that was a stunning setup , this is one of the best vintage tube amp match im seen in here :) im will order a pair of the newcoming proac d20r when it will be releasing :) cant wait to hear it sing

WOW, That is beautiful i am getting my HH Scott LK 150 Amp and LC 21 Preamp restore after 30 years been store in the basement i hope would sound as good as yours . what did you had to do to load up your video to TH-cam and not been in trouble with copy rights?
How I whis to listen to the Tannoy D700 if by chance you could find them and make a sound demonstration I don't know if you ever listen to these Tannoy D700 thank you very much
+fuvat Yeah,i own a very well preserved pair of these speakers,and no way are they making this noise positioned that close together.Having said that,in places during the video i'm sure i see the drivers moving,but audio can be placed over video very easily....i'm not convinced.
I am assuming that you feed the digital output of the Panasonic Bluray player into a DAC? Is that the DAC right above the Panasonic player? If yes, what make and model?

System sounds great! 'Round Midnight is the highest quality recording I have ever heard. A great way to show off your system!

@이용훈 the d20r will give you a significant improvement in clarity in the treble and midrange . I have now upgraded to the d28 .

In some ways I like the sound of these more than the fancier stuff you’ve got now. The convergent has and always will be a keeper it seems.

No, just the Panasonic. The one above the Panasonic is the CAT SL-1 Ultimate preamp.
