I'm having same problem it's like its just a camera not a dash cam

They just sent out about 2 weeks ago a major update (about 7 gigs). Since then the device seems to work a lot better
Please explain to me how to use the save location function like I had in my old rand mcnally
The only way I have found to do it is through bookmarks. When you get in your history you can click on one of your previous addresses and you will see the little bookmark symbol. That is the only way I know of, but maybe somebody else will know a better way.
How do I edit what the map shows on my Rand Mcnally overdrive8 pro II, so it doesn't show airports, hotels, etc.
It's under poi in the settings. It's difficult for me to tell you exactly how to do it because I haven't used that GPS in several months, I'm now using a Garmin
@Trucker Todd On TH-cam Thanks. I found it. I wish it had the ability to select specific points of interest. Only 2 selections, trucking and/or general. At least now I see only truck stops, weigh stations etc.
Yeah sorry I couldn't be more help. Since I got this Garmin I threw the Rand McNally in the sleeper and I haven't even looked at it again

There was an update a couple of days ago and it seems a little better. The app still does not work but if you read down in the description of the app it says that they do not support Android phones right now. I emailed them because that message has been there for a year and their reply to me was soon. Evidently in their world soon is over a year
Well I just figured it out. You have to format your SIM card. I removed the card and it started working where it was saving my video again. Got messing with it and realized I had to format the SIM card in storage. Hope this helps anyone else having this issue.
Yeah I got that part done. Every once in awhile it will still shut the camera off and you have to restart it. I just double check it every time before I begin driving each day
I'm so confused with this gps, my old one was about 10 years old
Yeah it does many things in an average way. Every day I learn something new about it, which kind of makes it interesting and kind of makes it overwhelming
The sound was horrible. Is there any way to fix that?
I'm not sure why you're having problems with the sound, how are you trying to listen to it?

Oh I misunderstood your question. You are saying that the Rand McNally speaker is hard to get good sound out of. I would recommend in that case to connect it to your amfm radio in your truck by either the aux cable or Bluetooth or the FM transmitter

I just Bluetooth connect my phone to my AM/FM radio and play my audiobooks through there
