I fixed my slice in ONE ball. Seriously, after 4 more balls I changed my swing path to inside out and the next 5 were straight down the middle, long or slight draw, something I have never been able to do before. Great instruction and tips. You fixed my slice and I can now enjoy golf again.

I watched this video and went golfing the next day. Changed my grip like you did, even over exaggerating the grip and I was crushing my shots with zero slice. Been playing golf for over 30yrs and always adjusted for my slice. Back 9s were the worst (grip), having to adjust more and more as the game went on. Made this one adjustment, hit a bucket of balls everyday for one week, and well sir, my slice is gone, and now I even have an ever so slight draw with ALL my clubs. I have had Zero slices with any club since learning this to muscle memory. This may not be the problem fix for everyone, but it’s exactly what I needed. Thank you.

I draw my irons and am now finally being able to play that draw to my advantage , I hit my best drives with a high fade or low hard left to right runner. That's all good until I am standing at a tee where I NEED to be on the left side of the fairway to have a clean shot in without having to shape the ball flight. I was always obssesed about tucking my right arm and forgot about a strong left....Your lesson has me for the first time hitting a hard low right to left runner. I practiced it for a week at the range and on my longest par four at my local course i had, for the 1st time ever, a driver and 8 iron in, where i always needed a 6 iron approach... at least...I cannot thank you enough ,i am totally pumped about me new ball shape, thanks

Went out yesterday for 18 and couldn’t hit my driver at all. 100+ yards but with a massive slice. Have tried months trying to fix it watching TH-cam videos but no real consistent success. Disappointed yesterday, I found this video and work on the club face early this morning. Hooked the first few which was a welcoming sight. Then started to bomb straight drives 250+ yards. I couldn’t believe it! So I had to come back and leave a comment. Thank you so much! You have a fan for life

Stopped playing golf 30 years ago. Why? Always sliced the ball. Always. Three weeks ago, my son started taking lesson and playing golf so I wanted to join him. Did exactly what the instructor in this video said and worked on it for two weeks. Just finished playing 9 holes today with my son. Fairway shots every time or maybe a foot off the fairway. THANK YOU for taking the time to post this! Slicers: Just do exactly what he says and it works.

SIMPLY THE BEST VIDEO EVERY NEO PLAYER HAS TO SEE.
For the fist time i hit the ball in the sweet point of my driver and I earn a lot of distance, if that is not enough my downswing thanks to the left hand position follow the centrifugal force and stop like a normal player behind the back naturally without difficulty. Wow 0_0

OK>>>> here we go. I watched your video. I did what you said. Last week, I lost 6-9 shots because I was putting the ball out of position or out of bounds because of the slice. Yesterday, I used a stronger grip and closed the club face at impact. I had no balls out of bounds. I played 9 holes and shot a 38 instead of 45-49. I used the move thru the fairway as well as tee box. You helped me greatly.

dude... you did it!! Thank you...You helped me ditch the slice..After watching your video, I took my driver and one bucket of range balls and it's gone...Now, I can even draw the ball a bit... And as you said in the video, with the exaggerated grip there will be hard left draws(hooks) but I can adjust my grip and bring it back to straight down the middle... I can't believe it... I've had the slice for a billion years and tried all kinds of adjustments to get rid of the slice...open the stance, close the stance, adjust the takeaway, etc etc.... Closing the club face is the key... The only thing with this grip adjustment for me is that it doesn't work on my irons... with my old grip the irons were very straight and controlled... This strong grip has my irons drawing hard left.. so I'll keep the old grip for the irons ... your grip (my new grip) for my driver... Thanks man YOU ROCK!!!

I was a longtime tennis player before I was a golfer. My drive is (in my head) a topspin passing shot down the line, not crosscourt that is a duckhook! :) I have always hit my drive low with a draw, as long as I take a decent rip at it. Try and steer it, and you wont get the toe round and the clubhead stays open.
This video is spot on. Big two thumbs up! Do what ever you need to do to get that clubface square. It is a lot more difficult than getting a tennis racquet square, but the principle is just the same, and at least the ball isn't moving.
Nice to see a pro that is telling you what to do, rather than how to do it! Far more useful for us older folk that cant often follow best practices.

I tried all kinds of things: ball placement, flatter swing, squaring shoulders and setting driver 6 inches behind ball, etc. But this tip did it for me. Spot on, Bro! Been doing it the same way for years to deliver what I call a "guaranteed" slice fix. I like how you call out the slicers who insist on sticking with a weak grip and who blame it on everything but an open face-to-path. Lots of stubborn golfers out there. But also lots of teachers who don't teach this. You get a committed student and this instruction and the slice is a distant memory. Period.

Watched this video the night before hitting the course. I have a new G425 Ping driver that I have been using for the last month. When I changed over from my R9 which I consistently had draw drives, suddenly I was always slicing it. After trying so many things, saw this video on grip. Like the man said, I got out to the range before my round and really made sure I had a strong grip. Sure enough I was hooking like a mad man completely erasing my fears of slicing and resetting my brain to hook with the club. A few adjustments to a "less" strong grip and found the sweet spot to crush my drives straight. On the front 9, I was struggling to find my grip and address position and was slicing again. I kept at it and by the back 9 I crushed 5 or 7 drives right down the middle of the fairway (5 in a row, book end with two misses which were both hooks!). Moral of the story, 5 crushed drives in a row was not a fluke. I am looking forward to solidifying my driver swing with the new strong grip. Thanks PGZ! Can't believe how easy this adjustment was to a very frustrating situation.

Amazing, my problem was all because of my grip, have seen many videos but no one has explained it so I would understand.
Just back from the range and after 100balls I had 3slices and some draws but the majority of the drives was deadstraight.. And as a bonus hit almost 50 yards further
    You saved me.

I’ve been struggling to figure out why I’ve been slicing the ball for over a year now. I’ve tried different ball positions, swing paths etc… turns out it came down to something as basic as my grip hahaha.
I wouldn’t mind, I had a lesson many years ago and the pro genuinely did the same thing to my grip as you have just kindly reminded me!! It must have just grown weaker again over the years 😂
    Thank you sir!!

This is the best video ever. Old story - Ben Hogan was in his youth working as a caddie. After some times(probably years) he got a lessons from the local pro. The pro said early - you fade/slice the ball! Learn to quick hook the ball and comeback later. Ben did this quickhook training - then the pro said - hit the ball harder - and after that the rest is history! ;)

    • @cheemomugdoo799
      @cheemomugdoo799 หลายเดือนก่อน

Not really. Ben Hogan was a smaller than average child, and he used a long drive swing to get distance. Trouble is that swing persisted into adulthood, and he struggled with a hook for many years until he finally found a way to counteract it. He didn't win a tournament in the first ten years after turning pro. Once he figured out how to keep the face more open with a cupped left wrist at the top, a weaker grip, and an open stance, he then became the best ball striker on tour and won many tournaments including 9 majors, 6 of which came after a near fatal car accident.

This makes a lot of sense. I've been playing golf for 22 years and at one point was a 6 handicap. Quit playing as much and now I'm at a 15 handicap because I lose so many balls off the tee due to slicing. I took lessons a year ago to correct the slicing and part of the lessons was to change my grip, however my instructor told me to grip strong with my left hand and weak with my right hand. I improved slightly, but that combination never made sense in my head or felt comfortable on the club. I'm glad I found this and can't wait to apply the strong right hand as well and work my way towards neutral eventually... I miss my low scores and consistent 300+ yd bombs haha! Thanks!

I usually tee off with 4 iron ... after watching this video then going to the range .. keeping face closed fixed my slice in first 5 shots .. no idea how to thank you .. went from having 200yards into green , now I have under 100 yards into most par 4 .. thank u so much .. I'm a 10.8 handicap and I know it will only go down now .. ty so much

OH MY, THIS WORKED!!! My grip was usually weak and I thought that was the right way to hit because my dad taught me that. For me, the strong grip TOTALLY corrected my slice in 1 swing! Went to the range and hit 200 balls and no slicing! I'm super excited to found your AMAZING video. Thank you so much! I usually hit around 250 yards and slice and now I'm hitting 285 yards with a draw! So pumped!

This is the only video that actually got rid of my slice. What he talked about is exactly the trouble that I’ve been having. But as soon as I started doing this grip I went from golfing 105 to a 85 on my first game since I did what this video taught me.
    Awesome video!!!

Eric you are the man. I've never hit so many fairways in one round in my life. Naturally since this is a fiendish game the rest of my round completely fell apart and I shot one of my worst rounds of the year but that's not the point! I can now step up and confidently swing my driver which blows me away. Huge thanks and can't wait to put it all together soon!

So i bought a brand new x-stiff driver because I thought i was slicing because of the shaft flex. Sure, the new shaft helps a little but it was really all my grip. Spent countless hours at a range fixing ball position, swing path, all that to no prevail, but this helped me so much more

Been trying everything for my slice. Made sure shoulders were square, feet were in the proper position, elbow didn't flare out. Did not realize my grip was trash. Didn't know you had to twist your wrist like that, I just had my thumbs aligned with no twist. Can't wait to get to the range to try this. Even my irons would go right slightly. I think I got it!

Wow! I have watched a bunch of videos on eliminating a slice and there have always been too many steps to keep in mind. I went to the range after work and it fixed it! My swing is far from perfect but I'm pumped that I don't have to watch that stupid slice every time. Highly recommend trying it out if you are a fellow slicer.

This helped me alot. I was trying to fix club path only. As soon as I closed club face, it became much easier to then focus on path
. Started with hooks and then was able to work them straight.

Great advice, exacly what my club pro said to me. He also gave me a really good exersice i want to share here!
: hit a ball to the right, then one to the left, then pne in the middle. Do this over ald over again. After practice you can choose where you want the ball to go!

I can’t practice the driver at home (low ceilings), only been golfing a few months. I definitely don’t come over the top and I shallow pretty good. I don’t slice but draw my irons. This video fixed my slice. I didn’t change my grip, but I introduced the closing of the face feel to the takeaway and now I’m drawing, and even fading if I try. And guess what? I can slice on queue now! Which sounds bad but it’s really not imho because now I know why. thank you very much!

I just saw this video. Been playing golf for about 30 years. Had a handicap of 10.4 at best but always fought a slice and at best I could say it was a controlled fade. Tried really to change my swing path but I am a right handed guy that for some reason plays golf left handed so have a weak or non dominant left wrist/hand. As in this video I had to exagerate my dominant right hand to assist my left so I had to develop a stronger right hand grip and ensure i felt the back of my right hand glove pointing at the target at impact. I think this guy explains it better but a strong grip is key and being aware of your hands and wrists at and through impact. I can now draw and fade at will.

Another positive result...thanks Eric. Watched last night and went in my sim today. Struggling to get the club facing down on the follow through. Maybe just in my head that I'll over hook, which is what I want to do initially. Still...I can actually keep it in the fairway and can't remember when that happened last.

there are a billion videos on how to stop slicing ( i ve watched every one and still slice
)......watched this vid played this week sliced every drive until 9th hole I forgot about shutting the face of the club in the back swing did it on 9 1st drive was a draw second drive was straight...this is the only video i ve seen ( and i ve seen a lot) that recommends closing the face and I think that is the magic move ... i ll know this weekend

Really helped today at the range! I’d previously been adjusting my right hand to no improvement! (Right handed golfer)
I did notice that in addition to the strong left hand grip that I still need to be “low and slow” in the backswing to be straight. Great tip Eric, can’t wait to apply my new grip on the course!!!
