Hey ! I agree with ya, but some people in Arizona probably wouldn't need them ! hahaha Gotta have 1) good tires 2) a Winch 3) Heated Grips. thats my order.
Oh awesome man, thats exactly why I made the video, I looked for videos when I installed my heated grips on my old grizzly, so I knew on my next one I'd try to help some ppl out. glad it helped you ! and thanks for watching !
Hey Buddy ! The Heat Demon Grips are perfect ! they feel just like stock grips (not big and fat like some other brands) they work perfect, heat up nice and if you have an issue you can call them and chances are they will send you new ones.... my buddy Adam did that, no questions asked, they sent new grips after him having them for 4-5 years and 13,000km on his Grizzly. haha
thanks Rob ! I didn't have any but I put Rust Check on all connections, worked for my last bike, so hopefully works for this one haha but I should pick some up next time i'm at crappy tire.
Hey ! thank you, glad it was some help to you, I noticed when I was putting mine on I didn't find too many video of the installation process so I figured I'd make one myself haha thanks again!
hey buddy ! yes they are a bit pricy but SO worth it, the grips aren't big fat grips, they are the same size as stock ones. they work great and I like the dual zone control. Also my buddy Adam had an issue with one of his stopped working (he had like 15,000km on his grizzly at that time LOL) and he contacted them and they sent him a whole new set so thats great customer service.
Interesting how they have the battery up front, less wire to run when installing accessories. Honda's are in the back, behind the seat. It's a decent spot and quite easy to get at until you put the cargo box on. I can still get at the terminals and all my connections with the cargo box on, but it's a little tight now. I think the Yamaha setup might be better.
Nice to hear that Polaris made some changes to their battery compartment too. My Uncle's 2008 is terribly designed. You have to take half the bike apart just to see the battery. It's down low in front of the engine surrounded by metal. I swear they built the bike around the battery.
Hey buddy thanks for tuning in again ! Yeah I love where the battery is, the batter was in the front on my 2008 Grizzly too ! really easy for running wires.
Hey are you sure it's in the back on your dads grizzly? because the battery was in the front on my 2008 and it's in the front on my buddies 2014. and Quaddingous bike is Really nice looking for sure !
The Rubi ok at best. It certainly isn't ugly, but it's not near as stylin' as the Grizzly and the CannedHams. Even the new Polaris' are better lookin' than the Hondas - lol
I don't really like the futuristic looking bikes, I'm just waiting for one of those Can Am XMR's to turn into a transformer haha I like the metal racks and stuff,
Nice job. I've got the 2020 grizzly 700se xtr. Winch was already installed at the factory. I put the premium YAMAHA windshield on ( like the one that comes on the LE model) man what a difference in cold weather. I did make my own heat shield to keep the fender from getting hot and I added one under the glove box over the engine. 3/16 aluminum plate. Zip tied at all 4 corners to the frame. Now in summer I can put my phone in there now that the glove box doesn't get hot enough to cook a pizza. If anyone wants pics of that heat shield message me on my channel. I had the heat demonds on my sportsman 1000xp for 3 years. Only complaint is I wore through the heat shrink on the throttle. -35c plowing snow with fairly warm hands is a nicer time thats for sure.
Hey man ! congrats on the new machine ! those XTR's are awesome looking. haha thats a great Idea for the heat shield, especially the storage box one, man that gets Hot in the summer. I think you could contact Heat Demon and they might send you a new pair. they did it for my buddy Adam, one f his grips just stopped working, he shot them an email and they just mailed out a new pair, didnt even ask to see pictures or anything.
@@Maritimer my thumb warmer still works great. I just installed them on my new grizzly tonight. Fresh piece of heat shrink tubing and brand new 2nd hand
@@Maritimer these grips suck in summer. I take them off and run a nice set of lock on grips for a mountain bike. I leave the thumb warmer on all the time.
Really? I haven't had any issues, they are nice and small like the stock grips, I don't have anything negative to say about them. but to each their own, do what you like best.
Hey ! I cant remember for sure but I believe it came with my bike, it was in the storage box by my handlebars.... helped me out for sure, if I had my time over again, I''d probably install a fuse box and have all my accessories run to the fuse box before my battery, just for a cleaner look. saying that I believe all my accessories have an inline fuse to each.
hey man ! yes of course you can have them both on at the same time, and you can have different temps on your thumb or hand. usually you want the thumb to be warmer b/c it gets colder easier.
right on ! do you have any issues finding the different buttons on your handlebar with those mitts on? my brother said he had a hard time putting his Kodiak in 4X4 and stuff, maybe that was just him though.
no because my atv is 1993 yamaha bigbear 350 and its always on 4x4 all the time and for button like starter and kill switch stuff like that no issue at all
Another great video. I cant believe how many people don't install heated grips. One of my first accessories.
Hey ! I agree with ya, but some people in Arizona probably wouldn't need them ! hahaha Gotta have 1) good tires 2) a Winch 3) Heated Grips. thats my order.
@Maritimer, Nice install and thanks for doing this video! Now I feel confident I can install the heated hand grips and thumb warmer myself!
Oh awesome man, thats exactly why I made the video, I looked for videos when I installed my heated grips on my old grizzly, so I knew on my next one I'd try to help some ppl out. glad it helped you ! and thanks for watching !
I definitely have to get a set, been using stock grip for years, but time for a change. Definitely will be great for the cold hands! Take care!

Don't forget to use Dielectric Grease on all your connectors! Nice install! I got the slip-on grips also!
thanks Rob ! I didn't have any but I put Rust Check on all connections, worked for my last bike, so hopefully works for this one haha but I should pick some up next time i'm at crappy tire.

You have good vid bud, keep them coming..I'm from miramichi, and love wheeling as much as you, I'm out every weekend.
Oh right on, I've been biking in Miramichi, loved it, beautiful area! glad you like my videos!
Great video i installed the same grips last year little expensive but worth it

Gotta get a wood stove and some old pallets.
When the Miss's on the war path, just grab a 6 pack and head out to the shed. LoL.
haha you're idea is Genius ! lol Im thinking maybe a little stove and insulate the shed. Thanks for watching !
Hey man just a question where was the pig tail adaptor you got with youre grizzly
Hey man, it was in the middle storage box, in a bag. I believe all grizzlies come with them.
@@Maritimer ok thank man
So after 5 years...how do you like the heated grips? Warm enough?
Love them, they still work great !
Good job. Now I know how to install the heated grips with thumb warmer
right on man, glad to help!
Nice video!! Did that pig tale come with the bike or the Handwarmers?

Are you able to have the grips and thumb on at the same time?
hey man ! yes of course you can have them both on at the same time, and you can have different temps on your thumb or hand. usually you want the thumb to be warmer b/c it gets colder easier.
i don,t need handle bar warmer .. and no thumb warmer either because i got handle bar mitts and it does help me to keep my hand warmer ..
right on ! do you have any issues finding the different buttons on your handlebar with those mitts on? my brother said he had a hard time putting his Kodiak in 4X4 and stuff, maybe that was just him though.

Ohhh I get ya, old school bike, not as many buttons haha also less stuff to go wrong. Love the old big bears !
well beleave or not .. i got tire chains on all the wheels too .. it does go not to bad
awesome !
no seriously send some of that beautiful snow to Saskatchewan!!!!!
hahaha Wish I could ! Trails should be good once the groomer goes over it a few times and it settles.
Use air compressor to get old grips off
Yup ! that works great ! At the time of this video I didn't own a compressor. I have one now though haha
If you are prone to having seizures or motion sickness do not watch this video... You have been warned
Hey Albert ! you made me laugh man haha this was an earlier video, sorry about all the shaking. thanks for checking it out !
