Excellent level of detail that many videos miss. Well done, keep it up
Thank you!
Heck yeah, awesome video. About as perfect of a DIY video as you can get. I checked out 3 other videos, and a lot of the comments state that they came here only for the injector seals in the valve cover, and it still leaked after changing. I think this video sums up why you should do the whole valve cover gasket. From when he turns it over after he takes it off, you can see how much of a groove that seal has to go around the underside valve cover. I bet my bottom buck all of these people that still had issues only tried to pry out the lip seal in the installed valve cover and couldn't see that the new seal was pinched and not seated properly on the underside when reinstalled.
Quick question, I have OBD11, What function in the diagnostics do you use to bleed the system? Is it just the lift pump like you would use to do a fuel filter, or is it a different function for past the HPFP?
Thanks for comment. I don't know how it goes in obd11 but in VCDS program it is called "Transfer Fuel Pump (FP) test" check this video m.th-cam.com/video/mN-VpKsbwCA/w-d-xo.html
And this one m.th-cam.com/video/g3FumjE5jcU/w-d-xo.html
So yeah one more thing about new and old injector seals, original sealing are from KACO and they sits prety tight in place so you need to press them rly hard to get them out and this new ones are from Elring (no offense to Elring the are one of the best out there) you can install them with one finger easy so i think without sealant they will leak very soon. And if you install original seals from KACO you should have no problem at all, in my opinion.
Very good informative video, but I have one question , why did you put silicone sealant on new gasket and seals? I suppose the purpose of seals and gaskets is to seal perfectly fine without any sealant or I’m wrong?
Thank you for your question MilanI I thought about adding this explanation to the video but I guess I forgot. So usually it is not necessary to apply sealant but in this case I applied sealant to the injector seals in valve cover because they did not hold in place so tight as the original ones and applied sealant to the valve cover gasket because of the wider space between the bolts . So I think that the gasket will last longer with sealant wihtout any leaks and also there is a lot of dismounting in here so you don't want to do same job twice. But it is only my opnion. I hope my answer was helpful for You. Regards.
Hello, sir! Do i need to bleed the injectors by loosen up the nuts, even if i do it from the vcds with testing the fuel pump? Thank you?
Hi. No there is no need to loosen injectors nuts if You are using vcsd .
with what did you clean the tips of the injectors ? :D
I don’t remember exactly, but maybe it was a plastic brush with plastic bristles
Official Skoda workshop said 270 deg for injector clamp?
Thanks
Hy, was there any foult, that you this job?
Oil leakage was the reason to do this job and thats it
Hi,i have the same problem with oil leakage,my car loose 0.5 liters oil every 1000 km ,i check everything and no other problem !
Can be from this gaskets leaking ?
If You clean everything from oil and then check again for the leak and engine oil appears on the top of the engine then yes it can be this gasket. You can watch humble mechanic video about oil leaks
And also you can chek for the engine oil inside of the charge air pipe, maybe the turbo is failing?
@@stelianciaturi8979, your's problably is burning oil.
Is this the CRLB engine code?
Yes
silicon and new gasket is big no no , does not help at all
Thank You for your comment. Stay tuned for the new videos. Regards.
And God bless you my friend.
Silikon on gasket...omg you CANT do this!!! All work u done is uselles because of silikon on rubber gasket..
...and to this day this car has no problems with oil leaking from this valve cover and injector seal, so yeah it was very bad idea ;) if you know how to use good sealant properly and what you need to do before you use it on the surface, then everything will be ok. Sealant full Curing time (23°C): 24 h
Just tell us your story of "omg you CANT do this!!!"
Is this the CRLB engine code?
Yes
@@HintSlice then it is 8nm + 270 deg turn
@michakotasiak9637 thanks
