Great engines, and yes rare. Yesterday I bought a lawnmower from its original owner, who is a mechanic, and it has the I/C60 engine. Couldn't believe my luck. I also have a mower with the IC4.5 engine that I bought new 27 years ago. I will now be selling my near new 2022 lawnmower which is a piece of crap in comparison, in favor of the IC/60. I am in New Zealand
I just picked up a snapper mower with this engine. The push mower itself is probably in the 80s because the handle is white. It has this engine and the story was it was put on this mower and then visual I got it from never used it. I snagged it for 20 bucks hopefully I’ll be able to put it to use next spring
My dad and I went to a junky full of these engines. My dad bought a brush cutter from that junkyard for $22AUD the only thing that was wrong with it was a Loose Carburettor. It’s a 4.5hp model with no primer Botton
190cc right? Because they rated them anywhere from about 4.75hp to 6.75hp, their all really about 5hp. They were just playing the horsepower game. They stopped doing that, kinda. Now they do it with ft Ibs instead.
@@Mr_Tecumseh ok cool Yeah in 2 pulls the engine started really easily Now my dad wants me to do a full service on it since I told him the engine is Rare
Those industrial/Commercial ones are. However the regular Quantum was one of the most massed produced engine Briggs ever built. Their great engines. They made them in manual choke, prime and later Autochoke. Great engines.
@@alpharaptor7510 I sold the one I had for $100. It was on a billygoat lawn vac. Commercial equipment, that's why it had the commercial grade engine. The vac's bag was chewed to pieces and it was push only, so I didn't feel to bad about it. Got that with a truckload of other goodies.

I have one very similar that came on a push mower. 1995 model. Still starts and runs good. Starting to smoke a little. Rated at 5.5 hp.
