Hi Dave. I received my Flextilt Head 2 today. And sometimes I follow directions and actually read the manual. After watching the "manual video" I happened across your review. Entertaining and informational. We are going to Sedona, AZ to shoot that legendary landscape and after watching you demonstrate, I am convinced I made the right decision (buying the head AND going to Sedona). The biggest pro for me is the size and weight of the Flextilt. Now I can actually take clothing with me instead of just camera gear. Great video and I wanna be just like you when I grow up...more camera equipment and toys :)
Very helpful. I have two of these Edelkrone Flextilt Head's and they are excellent. One of them is a new design with built in knobs to tighten the joints, which you only need if you have a really heavy load. Great idea to use it as a body brace. The cheap knock off competition is crap. Thanks !
Absolutely best quality and informative review of Edelkrone Flextilt Head 2 of all of the reviews. THANK YOU. I have 3 of these for every tripod and set up in studio and out. I do also have G.A.S. = Gear Acquisition Syndrome. :-)
@@dqstudios Just in case you haven't seen these, I have changed my quick releases over to the Oben QRA-R2 Quick Release. I still use my Manfrottos, Edelkrones etc. just with these attached.
@@dqstudios I changed from manfrotto to arca swiss clamps years ago too. They are solid but now needed something I didn't have to worry about sliding if not tightened tight and no aiming, just a click and done.
We love the content but couldn't help noticing that you are using the BM ATEM Mini which probably reduces your editing time by hours. How much time do you think you save? 50% or more when compared to adding all camera files into your favorite editing software?
nice catch! It all depends on your "performance" in front of the camera. But yup: can definitely shave off hours of editing if your livestream well. Checkout Livestreamgeek.com for more details
Wondering how the small scissor tripod held over time, when constantly applying friction? It's a cool gadget, but I'm not sure about this tripod head tbh, what could be useful for stills photography?
Great review but I cringe when I watch you apply torque to the bottom and top mounts on the camera. That can't be good. It gives me pause when I consider getting this mount. Maybe I should just wait until the next version comes out with the integrated allen wrench and maybe a handle on the flex head for adjustments rather than using the camera to make adjustments.
Hi Dave! Just stumbled into your video as I am trying to find a "table-top" solution for macro photography with my Sony a7. Wow - what a great video review! Thank you so much. I think I will order one and see how it works without a formal mini-tripod like the Berlebach mini. I will also definitely order a wider, more stable base like you recommended. It would be great not to actually have yet another tripod but will if I have to. And, perhaps more importantly I loved your quote at the end of your vid by Stanley; he's awesome. And, my friend, may God bless you as well! Thanks again on such a quality and inspirational review! New subber here :)
Great video ! I’m looking for 2 to mount my slider on when I shoot products on a table. Regarding weight, if you find your camera not heavy enough buy a Lumix S1H !!! Lol it’s a joke!

Thanks for taking the time to watch! I also got the new Pro but do miss the extra night you get on the non-pro version. Cheers and happy shooting!

Oh - body brace idea is good - didn't think of that :D - Thanks Dave

@@SuzannesVault Great minds! I do the same but chose the arcs swiss clamp like these: amzn.to/3DXB0Ca

I like the Manfotto 502 fluid head ! its probly my best buy!
It's a great head for fluid movement! But if you run&gun shoot, the Edelkrone is a GREAT tool I've grown more and more attached to. Happy shooting!

I wish!! LOL!
Great vid. Based on watching the performance of the Flexhead, I ordered one.
Thanks for watching and hope you're enjoying it!
