- Here's the Real-Grade 1/144 scale Wing Gundam Zero EW! I'd have to say this is probably the best kit we have of the Wing Zero Custom, though it's not completely without flaws. It's got great details, articulation, part separation, weapons - Everything you could want! Though personally, I think I still prefer the look of the MG.

The trick with the hands for the double buster rifle pose is that you leave out the other half of the holding hands on both sides since its going to be covered by the connection under the rifles so it doesn't look like half hands at all.
Pretty cool. If you would've had it, a comparison of the RG to the old HGFA (Fighting Action) kit would've been really cool to see. (You want short, those were absolutely TINY for HGs!!)
I've only built three RG kits so far (and a dozen HGs growing up in the 90s) so maybe I shouldn't be saying anything, but this kit, RG Wing Gundam Zero EW, was one of the most frustrating builds I've ever had. Everything is so fragile, I broke the left knee joint twice, they were broken in a way that it was not able to get super glued. Had to order the joint online just so I could move on. Once everything was assembled, the connector for the left primary wing snapped, when I tried to re-position the kit, I was being extremely gentle, having had the knee joint snapped earlier. It was so frustrating. without the backpack, the mobile suit itself looks so skinny and frail that I want to feed it a sandwich, but man is it majestic with the wings. I don't even touch it now because frankly I am afraid lol. Now it just sits majestically on the shelve, collecting dust.
I had the same experience lol. I broke my antenna and one of the wings so when I finished it I just put it back in the box

I grew up watching gundam wing, and when I first saw ew I was kind of turned off by this redesign; it didn't fit my image of the series. That said, with me getting into model building on my own, and watching build fighters and build fighters try, I've really started to get into different aethetics for models, and have grown to appreciate this version again. Probably going to pick this up, thanks! :)

That's the really old kit, though so it might be fun to have an update version of wing zero custom :)

@@Bahamut8937 The old one was HG Fighting Action (all those old Endless Waltz kits were: the five Gundams, the Tallgeese III, and the Serpent Custom). Not sure if the Tallgeese III & Serpent Custom followed suit, but the gimmick of the line for the five Gundams was an extra torso in some sort of ab crunch or other exaggerated pose to make certain poses possible or more believable. (Ex.: Wing ZERO's extra torso was an ab crunch posed torso that better facilitated the infamous blasting the bunker pose, Deathscythe-Hell had a stretched out one for holding the beam scythe above his head, etc.)

The key to the legs crossed posed is the have one knee slightly bent and that foot pulled back just a little bit. Then you cross, and boom, lovely pose. Keeping the legs both straight like that will never achieve the vibe you’re going for.
A wonderful kit, the only minor issues with mine is the bicep armor keeps falling off and the hinge that connects to the large wings is very loose. would have loved a ratcheting type joint instead.
I know this is late but im planning on getting the gundam base limited clear ver. Of this guy and this vid of yours sold me on the rg wing zero!

Be careful with the back wings because they have a limit on how much you can bend them so if you feel resistance stop or you will snap the wings

Is there any way to mod the rg in order to be stable but also playable at the same time?
I think gluing everything that can be glued will fix some things

Hey, how this kit rn? Is it age well? I consider to buy but thinking about most of RGs loosen up fastly after time kinda disappoint me.
Early RG suffers the loose joints, but since this kit is in the middle, I would say is a yes or no, I'm getting this kit and some other HG, from what I hear is that this kit is actually good and no problem of the stuff like no loose but there is some say that their kit have a loose backpack and some ankle pivot

hello from the future , i just built mine, and it has two parts that arent marked x but are left over.(D25)i only on found one google result on a now dead site i think, or the page isnt working right, but it's also just a question on where it goes, but is left un answered.
Honestly this is probably the best looking full release Wing Zero, but the Ver Ka will definitely change that! Also, how has this kit held up for you as this review was made a while ago.

+Igneos Kai I did review the RG Trans-Am Raiser. This kit will stand slightly smaller than the average Gundam, but with those big wings it's not going to look much smaller.

@@B3rrymon the shape of the connector seems like it doesn't connect properly into the back of the gundam - Im also having this trouble and have to use the back wings as support

Parts of the frame are pre-molded together. You can see in the unboxing video

so you can actually hold the buster rifle in both hands but there's a trick to it and they don't explain it in the instructions. you have to take the fingers off one of the holding hands. i.imgur.com/iQp3MoA.jpg also the knees bend the way they do because of the bird mode transformation.
The knees bend that way for the Wing Zero's Atmospheric Re-Entry Mode as well. It's a shame that they didn't add the Wing Shield from the Proto Zero for the Neo-Bird Mode for the Wing Zero Custom that was introduced in Glory of the Losers. Then again, from the design of the Glory of the Losers Wing Zero Custom, I think that this RG came first because the Glory of the Losers version has the armour detail of the RG Wing Zero while the Glory of the Losers Wing Gundam has the same amount of detail as the Master Grade Wing EW as opposed to the RG Wing EW. At least the Wing Zero Custom's Neo-Bird Mode is recognized in the Hi-Resolution Model version.
what paint color (red,blue) exactly did u use on the MG wing gundam zero custom?
I think I said that in the final review for it, but if I remember correctly the red was a mix of Scarlet and regular Red, and the blue was ... wasssssss I forget. lol, sorry. just check out that video again!

How is that relevant?
Because The MG Astray Red Frame Kai's sword (the really big one) includes a stand to hold it, because of which it's extra long compared to HG stands On top of this
that very same stand includes an Adapter that can be used for Real Grades
and I can use THAT to connect the kit

There’s no Ver.Ka in the RG line. But any version of the Wing RG is gonna be solid

Wing ZEROCustom doesn't even *have* Bird Mode/Neo Bird Mode.
RG needs to do Epyon just like this. The Master Grade Epyon is trash. RG has great engineering when it comes to models. If RG Designs the Epyon similar to this Endless Waltz Wing Zero it’ll be amazing.

by the way my friends in here philippines always asking me this question very time because they are a big fan about the Gundam Wing Ew Series they ask me is there a chance that bandai release a complete set of RG of gundam EW series bec. now here in the philippines EW HG 1/1144 scale more collectable right now. And my friends always like the RG Scale more than the MG scale bec. it more cheap than the MG scale and they also they like the size of the RG so they always bothering me of that question hope you can help me sir and i am one your biggest fan on your gunpla buildings

I dont get why rgs include a figure of the pilot.. 1/100 scale pilots are small to paint why bother a 1/144. :o
They kind of just do it because they can. The whole point of the RG line is to show off how tiny and detailed they can make gunpla.

It kind of is, but believe it or not I've actually seen people paint those 1/144 pilots. I don't know how they did it, but it's possible.

The wings ARE the shield. This is the redesigned version from the movie Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, not quite like the Gundam Wing TV series.
