  • How to set up an enemy with its own HP, Movement Patterns, and Death Animation.
These are the primary mechanics for all enemy types, so it would be best to get this stuff down before moving on to more complex enemy topics.

Great tutorial! Would have been good if you showed how you did the player side attack with his sword. Maybe an idea for another video :)

Lets go! Love me some gbstudio tutorials! Hopefully we can see a more advanced guide on making complex mechanics if possible

What advanced mechanics do you have in mind?

@@kalanakila Like combat mechanics or turn based actions would be interesting.

@@rockman2905 until I get around to making a video explaining how to make it, you can check out my itch.io page for a turn based battle example and template

You know what you could probably get the enemies a bit more flare when it comes to their death for example instead of giving them a specific death point that they have to reach in order to be dead why not make it a range from like one to like three if it falls within those one of those then the character can die in any of them it's kind of like not all enemies are able to get hit and keep coming back up some of them even though they're the same enemy might be weaker than the others or just doesn't have enough strength like the Others so it kind of gives it a more natural death that now all the characters are going to die exactly the same way each and every time.
