Superb quality throughout, easy to assemble. I found the saw to be highly accurate and a delight to use (I am a homeowner using this saw for various projects). However, you have to be sure the saw is securely locking in position before collapsing the stand. I've had many of the brands over the years and have come to point where I only buy Bosch, the extra money is a small price to pay for the quality and ease of use. Treat yourself to the best.
Best Miter saw ever. I am a trim carpenter and depend on my DeWalt tools for a living. They don't let me down after using my miter saw for three years, it still work flawlessly
i used my bosses dws780 to build walkin wardrobes, 3 sets of 636 double doors all the stud work in cls, linings, arcs and skirts done bang on in two days. never had to do the same cut twice. brilliant.
I paid just under $ 600 for mine and I absolutely love it. I built a drop center bench so the saw sits flush with left and right sides with a metal straight edge back stop so the boards slide flush and square with the saw. 8ft left 6ft right Perfect.
Just bought this saw and not impressed with the XPS lighting. After adjusting to get the blade square with the fence (square with table was OK), I marked a line on some scrap wood and tried a cut. Seems the cut edge is about 1/16" off from the shadow. I could not find anything in the manual for adjusting the light and shadow. Now wish I had saved the $$$ and bought a DWS779.
