    To be honest, I don't think motion glider saves that much time on an online race knowing that you are replacing shake to trick. Shake to trick is really important and you are replacing it with motion glider that also saves time in an online race. Also I think the notches doesn't feel good in my opinion compared to the pro controller stick (and I know what I'm talking about since I have 2 GameCube controllers). The pro controller feels so much better in my hands in my opinion, so it is not worth the change.

    • @Gnawy
      @Gnawy  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@soykiokin tbh I do like the smoother stick feeling of the pro controller (and the spectra) but here’s the thing: shake tricking only actually saves time in a handful of spots. Most tricks are on ramps which can be done with the R button. There are gliders in a ton of tracks and with motion glider you’re pretty much going faster than everyone else on a glider. It’s not a huge difference so if you prefer the pro controller you’ll prolly play better with it than you would the spectra on GC controller.

    • @soykiokin
      @soykiokin 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Gnawy For sure there are more gliders than inconsistent trick spots, but replacing the amazing feeling of the pro controller and being able to shake trick to be able to do save a little bit more time doing glider vectoring with motion glider isn't a good trade for me (also I should mention that you can still do glider vectoring without motion controls, the only difference is that you can do motion glider while doing glider vectoring)

    • @Gnawy
      @Gnawy  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@soykiokin it’s kinda that same for shake tricking. You can still trick on inconsistent trick ramps but you just won’t get as many. You can glider vector but just not to the same degree. It’s just a matter of preference at this point tbh. The comfort (at least in my opinion) is very good on the spectra. I haven’t used a GameCube controller is years so I don’t really remember the comfort but they don’t look very comfortable.

    • @soykiokin
      @soykiokin 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Gnawy Yeah you have a point there, it is technically better if you can get used to it as you can do motion glider and you are also able to do inconsistent tricks if you practice enough, it is such a small difference that I wouldn't even care. Also the GameCube controller is really comfy... for GameCube games, not for Mario kart... Just the fact that you have to press all the way down the trigger just to use an item is annoying and the notches make really specific drift angles way harder to do.

  • @vcool19

    PLZ make a tuto on glide vectoring with those back buttons... Ty
    Do you just press both everytime? Because it doesn't work well for me.
    I have the left back on dpad left and right back on dpad right. For exemple on the Mario Kart circuit I can't do it with the back buttons but I can with the dPad 😔

    • @Gnawy
      @Gnawy  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you want to do motion glider with those buttons you’ll want your back right button to be on dpad UP and your back left on dpad left. Then you hold both buttons. Make sure motion controls are turned ON in Mario kart and make sure your controller is wired or doesn’t have a motion sensor in it.

      @@D4W53YI press both programmable buttons on the back at the same time (they’re mapped to d-pad up and d-pad left) and yes it has to be wired or at least not have a motion sensor. Some wireless controllers can run in wired mode so if you have a wireless controller try to un-sync it and then plug it into your switch dock through the controllers charging port. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need a wired one to pull this off.

    Ur underrated

  • @theodorewins
    @theodorewins 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    The video itself was nice with some funny editing, but the point doesn't make all that much sense. The "Power A Spectra Enhanced wired controller" Is just a 3rd party controller that has 2 "Advance gaming buttons" on the back where you can map. These controllers don't generally don't feel great, cheaper buttons and usually the stick is bigger and the quality of it is worse, they're still fine for casual games. The main point is that this controller can do glider vectoring, but I would argue that soft drifting is a lot more viable. Because you use it on every course and it speeds you up more, unlike glider vectoring which is a good technique. But not on every map and doesn't do a whole bunch.

    • @Gnawy
      @Gnawy  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can still soft drift with this just like how you would with an official Nintendo Switch Pro controller and Power A is a big brand and as I said in the video Nintendo stands behind them. I personally enjoy the big joysticks and the build quality is amazing imo. I have heard on some reviews that their quality control itself isn't the best but if someone were to end up with a bad copy, he could just return it and get a different controller on re-order the same one. It's up to each person what controller they use though 🤷‍♂

    • @marconylara1272
      @marconylara1272 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    • @theodorewins
      @theodorewins 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Soft drifing is so much more important than motion gliding, gc has 100% accuracy. Any other one doesn’t. Yes you can learn it and almost always do it, but you won’t have 100% accuracy even pro players mess up on that sometimes. So you saying the gc is easier. Kinda just makes the point that is better

    • @Gnawy
      @Gnawy  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@theodorewins I mean if you mess it up its going to ruin your race and it also super easy to get consistent the spectra or pro controller. With joycons it's REALLY hard but aside from that it should be pretty easy on any controller. It's just muscle memory but if you're not willing to learn ig keep using the GC controller.

D-Pad left) and then press the button you want to assign it to (ex. left back button) and then just do it wit the other one and you're good!

      My experience with Power A has been spot on. I’ve never tried a Hori or 8bitso controller with those features. From some of their other products they both seem like great brands but Power A seems the most trust worthy to me. Also I heard since 8bitdo (and I think hori) are not licensed by Nintendo for their controllers, they have slightly higher latency which can be fine for some games but for Mario Kart you need the lowest latency possible. I’ve kind of noticed that with my smaller 8bitdo controllers so that why I don’t recommend them as much as power a. PDP might be a good option as they have a very similar controller and my friend seems to like their controllers if you don’t like Power A. And also that Rgb gives you a 100000000x pro gamer skill increase and power a and pdp are the only ones that offer that so 🤷‍♂️
