Love Just Rock - it’s my SOTD and enjoyed it from first sniff - like you it’s right up my street and can see myself getting through the small bottle I have rather quickly
The dry down is softer as you describe but I still really like it - for a smokier, spicier take on the same ‘genre’ then Pulse of the Night ticks those boxes for me which I know you also appreciate

Definitely want to try both. Since I most of the Mont Blanc stuff I want it to add to the house collection, but Just Rock sounds a little more unique and fun.

I am not a friend of the montblanc fragrences so far, but Z&V "Just rock!" is still my absolute "winter-king"! When there is snow outside, this is the best to wear for me. I just love it. At the office, in the feetime ,at the date.... That is just me in the winter. Very, very similar to "This is him!", but more bold. They are twin-brothers. The one is the gentleman in a suite and the other is the long-haired dude in the lumberjack shirt. The last one is me. :-) And the only thing that seperates them seems to be the pepper-note and the tonka-note......Well.....I love it!
Today I bought Zadig and voltaire this is him no rules (limited edition) I'm very happy with it. The same DNA as the original just a bit lighter maybe even more pleasant. It's still a winter perfume, I did see on fragrantica at most of people voted for a hot weather frag
The way you described the Voltaire fragrance, even with the little let down towards the end, still sounds right up my alley. I'm going to have to check that one out.

Second Z&V I've seen on your page...you need to try 'this is love' for him and do a review on it...probably more for the spring but its probably my favorite...and Z&V has been flying under the radar for a long time...glad you started featuring it!!!

I have "This is Love" by Zadig & Voltaire, it's pretty unique, I might take a look at "Just Rock".
Z&V gives at the first sniff, a little bit of a PDM Carlisle vibe, absolutely no brainer

I already own all of the Mont Blanc, so to be honest I think I would be much more interested in 'Just Rock'... plus I loved your initial reaction to the Vanilla during the opening.

About design of Montblanc botle, I seen same in GIVENCHY "Gentleman GIVENCHY", much more same of Montblanc!
On you ask, which scent I prefer, the answer is "ZADIQ&VOLTAIRE", because i try two earlier scents, and they smell me woooow soooo excellent!!!!!
Must admit, I never try any Montblanc, but because they gonna to cheapy side of price list, in near future maybe buy all three scents and from Montblanc, and from Z&V!
I love Just Rock. I actually enjoyed it more than This is Him. The weather is supposed to cool down in the next week or so where I live, definitely looking forward to wearing Just Rock.
The main thing i like about this is him is the incense, from what i understand this one is less incense forward right?

Great video Ash! Besides Explorer the only other from the line I liked was a special edition legend can't remember what year, had red writing..
I prefer the Just Rock over the original, it's my signature scent and surprisingly I get quite a lot of compliments even though that's not really the reason I am wearing it regularly.

Thank you for the first impressions Ash! While I am intrigued by the Z&V, I would play it safe and grab the new Legend EDP. Ido not yet have the original or A&F frag so this sounds like a safer add.

I bought Just Rock because it was on sale in the store. Half price than This Is Him. I tried both and considering the price I bought Just Rock. No regrets at all, especially for the price.
Got Just rock and at first I was like ugh this is him is better....but just rock just grows on you the more you wear it the better it is. You start picking up more notes as it dries down and projection might not be super but it’s decent and longevity is above average for me
would you say This is Him is better than Just Rock? sounds like it to me and I got to smell them and This is Him seems more refined
Zadig & Voltaire definitely sounds more up my alley. I own the Mont Blanc Explorer EDT, and I'm honestly not a fan.
I want to try Legend EDP. Used to love Legend intense too bad it was discontinued.

Just Rock, I struggled with it initially, but it does wonders with compliments to my surprise, I rock it with black outfits and it just carries itself spectacularly, just love this juice
I actually think that just rock bottle is cool, I'm a sucker for matte black/ gold combo .

I'm looking forward to Legend EDP! I liked the original, but it did not last and didn't smell as refined as it could be. Is it closer to Percival? Percival is one of my favorites but its pricey.

Trying to figure out why your literally the only one who says the montblanc legend edp does its own thing and everyone else says it smells just like the eft but just lasts longer? Strange.
don't like montblanc legend edp. Smells cheap, synthetic to me. Headache inducing stuff.
Percival much much better. Quality on another level, and way stronger performance.

Not even close. Just Rock is all about that burned vanilla.
Not a fan of Legend because I feel it's too generic. Just Rock is totally new to me. So, it's more compelling. But, I'm not a fan of powder or vanilla note eighter 'cause they make me nauseous in some fragrance. So, hum.. PASS!

I would have Legend EDP.
While I love legend night and legend spirit, the original legend has always given me a headache for some reason. The same with fierce. So I would be much more interested in just rock. It sounds like something I would really enjoy.
