This is one fantastic Ebike! I've been waiting for it since the summer and even though I had other Electric bikes to review first, I had to unpack and ride this one immediately. It's the Coswheel CT20s and it's easily my favourite Ebike now and I can't find reviews of it anywhere! So Here is a quick unboxing and very first look and ride. I'll be back with a speed test to see if it really can go 40mph, a first impressions ride and also a full review.
Here is our first short term review of the CT20s:

Here is our first short term review of the CT20s:
th-cam.com/video/xPfrGqs_xJE/w-d-xo.html
I've been looking for videos about this bike for months. Bit of a large price tag but looking forward future videos.
Same. I was amazed they hadn't sent it to other youtubers.
Looking forward to seeing more! Was going to pull the trigger on this but literally only 1 review on TH-cam and it was in Spanish haha your review will help big time as it’s a costly expense
👍 I'm amazed there are so few reviews of it.
@@e-VRC You are breaking UK Laws riding that thing here , you would be ghost pedalling over 20mph on that thing , try explaining yourself to the cops if they catch you doing 40mph
You are watching the wrong persons reviews if you are worried about the UK laws😂 nearly every ebike on the road today is illegal...@@celticbhoy14
I noticed straight away no advertisements in the opening sequence ,so I stayed as a new viewer . Well done.
Thanks for sticking around 👍
They have very bad customer service they sent me defect battery and wrong meter screen and they refused to changed under the warranty
Where could you find replacement tubes for this tyre
Love this bike . Where is the best place to buy in the UK ?
Great review man. I've been looking at this bike for months. I think it's the fastest "e-bike" that rips and you can take it where bicycles can go. Also what is the music you use for the beggining of the video. Sounds like Hans Zimmer
Yeah it's a class bike I'm loving it. The track is a royalty free TH-cam track called Raging streets. Reminds me of the Book of Eli 🤟
17:09 is that the regeneration sound?
have you reviewed the Gin X ebike yet? I would value your opinion
No they've been in contact but they wanted to do a bring down and take away but we couldn't nail down a time to do it.
Thats a beauty Alex.
Sure is. Somehow they make the big cylinder look great 👍
Yes it may be the new Engwe, but it looks silly with the battery behind the saddle.yes the adverts are a nightmare
They have very bad customer service they sent me defect battery and wrong meter screen and they refused to changed under the warranty
Looks nice…wish they would put direct drive motors on these bikes so there not as noisy…looking forward to seeing more….
They have very bad customer service they sent me defect battery and wrong meter screen and they refused to changed under the warranty
Any chance of a review of the engwe e26?
They just sent me the p275 which i don't think they have on sale yet so after I've reviewed that I'll ask about it 👍
@@e-VRC cheers buddy
hello e-VRC
Yo
Need to change the correct tire size so the speedometer is more accurate 👍👍😁
Yeah I was planning to do that once i go out with the gps.
@@e-VRChey I have the 60 v version as well ! Can you let me know the correct or most accurate tire size please ?
Regarding the CT20S, curious why the 60V battery option is lower capacity at 27.5Ah than the 48V 35Ah battery. Should offer a 60V 35Ah battery
Some cheap components, but a nice price for the specs. Don't like the top-heavy battery placement -- battery should be low.
The holes in the back are in fact for the sidecar! 😀
That would be so cool!
@@e-VRCit's true! Look it up! I'm currently in the process of getting this combo for my doggo and myself! 😂❤
Nice bike. I'm youtube premium so no adverts for me :D
Nice. I'm always turning down the premium offers.
@e-VRC I did for ages but in the end I just had enough of the adverts cutting into videos. I don't mind one at the beginning but it's very frustrating when you're in the middle of something and without warning one interrupts. I know they generate revenue for youtube and support video monetisation but I'm sure my paid for sub must support monetisation too...?
@richpmanser1981 yeah you do get some from premium too not exactly sure how it works though.
I got the lankeleisi mg 740 dual hub it is quick off the msrk but only does 30mph 😢
Similar to the Lankeleisi i have. Dual hub is great and 30 is enough. We'll see if this can really do 40.
@e-VRC yeh right what motor is that one on video ? I just bought a cyrusher ranger only 750 watt rear hub but with the 9 gears and 52 tooth crank can pedal it too 40 mph lol
@@jimmyallen9927 the one in this video is meant to be 2000 peak
I knew it was the coswheel been looking at the gt20 myself
The gt20 looks so cool. I was torn between this one and that.
yep it does look cool, what made you decide to go for this one?
@@nul1fe mainly the extra power, speed and range
yer i thought that may of been why (:, lets hope one day uk lets us have more powerful motors without licence :D, thx for reply looking forward to the review
*100% the ads are gettin annoyingly long,* worst is Ytube tells me ad is skippable then when it goes 5 down to 0 it restarts and skip button doesn't appear, regular occurance now 😭
⚡⚡⚡
I hope Ytube is payin creators more since it's more offputtin lol. Nice bike man, love the design!! I like the mystery concept ⚡👀⚡ 👌🏼👌🏼
Nice beefy look to it and that take off seems immediate!
Yeah I noticed that it's so annoying. Saying you can skip but you can't 😡😡😡 yeah I love it but it's so motorbikey rather than pushbikey.
Extension ad blockers work nicely for TH-cam .Never fails me .This is actually called an Electric scooter on their website and the cops will defo clamp down on it`s users because it looks more like a motorbike than an Ebike .Agree with other people on here ,these motorbikes cough ( i mean Ebikes ) will bring nothing but trouble here in the UK .It will lead to road tax , insurance, and a host of other troubles for ordinary Ebike users .30mph is fast enough for me , as i suppose it would be for others on here .
I’ve got one. Can’t use lower gears, chain rubs tire. Battery is good for about forty miles, aggressive riding in the foothills of the mountains. Screen showed seventy five percent, and then battery died.
40 miles in mountains is pretty decent. The gears are all fine on this... i haven't charged it yet but it always reads a high % so I'm expecting something similar to happen or a sudden quick % drop
They have very bad customer service they sent me defect battery and wrong meter screen and they refused to changed under the warranty
No.. you lost the drone😅 🚴🏻♂️💨
😂😅🤦
solar scooter 2.0 would hammer that on acceleration 💯
It's not an ebike.
I hope your not consistently riding a scooter over 15 mph. I don't care how fast your scooter can travel, the small tires makes it seriously unstable. You may seem comfortable over 15, but most people are unaware of the tragic fall, that one day will happen (no one is immune to falling off dangerous vehicles). A scooter is unforgiving.
I had the coswheel gt20(better lookinh than this one lower top speed but 1500w motor 48v) sadly it was stolen on Christmas eve, after 4 days after it arrived from china and set me back 1600 quid waited 3 months for it... I got the battery and keys just not my bike anymore and i still "cry" over it but the brand is great, mine came with a license plate holder and indicators
you should bought gps too :(
Oh man sorry to hear that. You're right, that one looks great. I love the indicators yeah it appears there's room on the back for a license. I'd be tempted to register this if it was easily done and use it for work.
@@msicomjp5144 haha yeah i had my tracker on its way but delayed due to Christmas deliveries but it is what it is lol
@@e-VRC i was in the process of doing mine, its not too hard more steps than one wants to do, but it actually would be a great video on steps how to get our ebikes road legal in this country cuz 250w ebikes suck and usually overpriced
@@not_so_native_native after tour first comment i was thinking the same thing!
unfortunately a police magnet here in the uk
I bet that POS is hard just to pedal , when it fails. Watched reviews ( even other peoples) and not on the even mention how hard/easy it is to pedal if proplems arise . Still old plod will soon bundle it in the back of a van and charge for taking it to the pound
It's a heavy bike and with the 5 inch tyres it's definitely harder to pedal than most. However it CAN be pedalled, probably easier than a US spec 1 gear Super 73. Also, where are these reviews you speak of? I've not been able to find any.
Is this the 48v or the 60v
48v
@@e-VRC would the 48v be faster than the 60v. And thanks for replying
@@albakz2130 sorry TH-cam showed me the wrong thumbnail when I replied. This is the 60v version and 60v would generally be faster.
Not to brag but I have built a 40 mph e-bike with a conversion kit. I have a 26 inch mountain bike with disk brakes I fitted with a rear direct hub motor (48 volt 1500watt) by Voilamart and power it with a 48 volt 20ah 1600 watt Panasonic Hailong battery. cruise speed is 25 mph and range of 40 to 50 miles per charge. top speed is 40 plus mph, Cost less than $900 to make.
Nice 🤟🤟
Can't believe you ain't seen a Thru-Axle before..Ha!
Yeah I've never been sent a bike with one. Only the real thin one when quick release.
Where is the review
this is popular in japan see some review but in a japanese language
Yeah I saw a few of those.
Do whatever with the ads, won't affect me (premium lol)
🤟🤟
Sort of import tax was paid on it?
No idea they just sent it.
What song are you using throughout the video and why didn't you get the bike up to full speed. The review was actually meh. You could have slowed down and shown more of the aesthetics of the bike and done more performance testing.
40mph with minimal protection felt silly and although I regularly go over 20mph, pushing 40 in a residential just felt like taking the pee a bit. There's a video about this bike I released before this one about the unboxing and first ride. I thought between the two I got a decent amount of exterior shots. Are you hoping to see more. I know this bike has minimal presence on TH-cam.
Oh wait this is the first video you're commenting on.... Yeah this isn't a review at all. I released a review after this. The start and end song is called 'Raging Streets' it's a free licence TH-cam track.
Too bad they don’t have a black version
Crazy bike, only a matter of time before legislation comes in on all ebikes cos of these type of machines, ie insurance, mot, liecence, even road tax, this is playing right into government's hands to rip us off. 😢
well u can still buy one which is 250w 25 km/h which is the legal speed / motor size according to the law in EU so its not the end of the world if u want something thats obviously slower but meets the criteria of what's road legal so i'm sure those won't be needing ie insurance, mot, liecence, even road tax etc etc...
They aren't going to do that lol
The laws already exist anything over 250w should fall under the same rules as mopeds to be ridden legally on the road.
Awww no way. Does not go Dow.n To 15.5mph limit. And it goes over 20mph on the limiter. Awww shame. But the only thing I am not a fan of the big cycle tube and the seat.
max speed 46km/h im have one on electric mod
You mean mph?
@@e-VRC No km/h baterri 100% .Wen you hevy 90-100kg max speed is 46-48km/h flat road. Max power 2088w im sea
@@maniakfps249 oh I'm 100kg but got well over that
@@e-VRC I reset the settings on the monitor and now it shows again that the wheel is spinning at 93 km/h, previously it was 70 km/h, maybe the controller is hanging up
Looks a little different to the thumbnail.
😂😂
The bike looks nice and a good deal but here's the problem a replacement battery is $1,000 and it's cheap chinese cells!
They have very bad customer service they sent me defect battery and wrong meter screen and they refused to changed under the warranty
That's a NO LOAD test it tells you NOTHING the actual mph are much lower depending on your weight of each person that rides it and another NOTE its NOT worth that kind of money $ 2500 USD for a HUB motor you could build a Mid Drive much more powerful and for much less money and you wouldn't have to depend on the company for support or PRIORITY battery's .
I do like the frame design but not for a hub motor would perform much better with a Mid Drive motor.
Get rid of the ads nobody watches them anyway.
I can't see how you can even pretend it's road-legal!
Yeah it is a bit beefy 😬😬
Grow up and buy a motorbike if you want speed , not a silly toy 🧸
😂😂
Goat power bikes from california do 2600w cafe racer style ebikes with 60v batteries and they are able to ship to the uk. The bikes go 45-50mph according to them.
Nice!
@@e-VRC I'm thinking very strongly of picking one up. The spec is really good for under 2 grand it's got a 60v 20ah and 2600 watts peak according to them although doing the maths myself I'm getting a peak of over 3000.
Looking at the Power Goat -- man, I hate fake gas tank batteries. Top heavy.
@@cacogenicist yep the power goat looks like the best one to me. Battery is on the down tube where it's supposed to be. I do wonder how long 60v 20ah would last if you actually drove it at 40mph, the bike can draw approx 3300w with a full battery.
