I went to see the Jam live on December 9th 1980 in Bristol. It was the day after John Lennon was killed and in the UK we only heard about it that morning. We went to the sound check during the day and Paul was really friendly and they signed the albums we took with us. At the concert in the evening, Paul recognized me in the bar area and came over to say hello and I asked him if he was going to dedicate a song to John Lennon.
