Constitutional Silver (Junk Silver) Quarter Hunt - Big Bag of Silver Coins!

- Constitutional Silver Hunt - Junk Silver Purchase - All Silver Quarters!
Since I have had several requests for me to do another local coin shop (LCS) pickup video, as well as a junk silver purchase and hunt, I decided to go to my Local Silver Coin Dealer and kill 2 birds with one stone!
I grabbed $90.75 Face Value in Junk Silver in a Bag filled with all of his available Quarters - which I was hoping would contain some key or semi-key dates, and perhaps even a variety or two!
Hopefully you all enjoy this video! I may also hit up some pawn shops and thrift stores to see if there are any hidden treasures hanging out in there too!

For spotting Type B reverse quarters, also look at the top of the A of DOLLAR. I find the differences there with the leaf touching the letter is easy to spot quickly too.
Michael Kittle Rare Coins great tip brother and likely easier to see on the lower grade examples I bet too.

Love the hunt and silver hunts and all of that! I didn't know you could get proof silver quarters or proof reverse silver!
I know it’s not ideal but if you order bulk from apex or from an online company you might have a chance of getting some key dates as well. I ordered $100 fv of walkers and got a 1916D on the obverse
I'm still missing both the 32D and 32S. Have all the 37PDS finally... Good hunt!

What would be your recommendation for a guy like me who wants to hunt his first box? Pennies? nickels, dimes, quarters, or halves??? GoHawks Pennies for sure. Take your time and look for varieties too. If it’s fun keep doing it and see how you feel. It’s not just about finding stuff either - it’s relaxing and good for the soul brother.
As always Rob I enjoyed the video. I noticed the difference in the thickness of the 60's quarters, and the Barber quarter which was worn slick. How does that affect the weight of the coin?
Linda Nelson it does affect the weight but most places disregard the weight and use the melt value regardless.

Hi Rob, when you buy "junk" silver, do you only pay face value plus spot premium or do you pay for spot times weight? My thinking, those are all old coins, so, if you go the spot x face, you may be paying for a whole lot of wear too!

The bigger the junk silver dealer the better the finds. (for me at least) Apmex has done me right many times as well as the large gold shop in the city.

Zach Lough soap and water and air dry. I use a scrub brush and it takes it all off.
