    Whats a better way to go. Swap the ls engine in first or swap the axles and the 3 or 4 link in first then the ls engine ?

      LS first and we no longer are doing any LS swaps

    My buddy and I are doing an LS swap on my 98 TJ. We're using the 4L60E and GM transfer case. One problem were having is even with the transmission up very close to the underbody, the transfer case sticks way down. We're going to have to cut a hole in the existing skid plate and cover the part of the transfer case that'll go through it with thick metal. Any suggestions or other ideas. Thank you sir.

      Doesn't sound right, did you figure it out?

    • @ramblin_man23
      @ramblin_man23 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@longhorn8459 he hasn't tackled it yet. He says the GM transfer case is bigger than the original one and it won't go any higher because the trans is pretty much already up against the body 🤷‍♂️

      @@ramblin_man23 Got it. What is the transfer case? One option is to ditch the skid plate, there are a few videos around like what this guy did th-cam.com/video/sd726gw86CE/w-d-xo.html. I would also check out Novak's data on their website, they have a ton of info. www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/transfer-cases

    Does the issue of the control arms hitting go away when you lift the jeep? Such as a 3.5 suspension lift with a 1.25 body lift?

    • @jeepspeedshop

      Control arms hitting what and what engine are you using.

      @@jeepspeedshop I'm referencing when you said the alternator would hit the control arm brackets on the axle. I plan on doing a 5.3 but was curious if that would still be an issue with the change of distance and angle from a lift.

    Why do you need crank sensor?

    • @jeepspeedshop
      @jeepspeedshop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We reuse the Jeep crank sensor for the Jeep Tach to work and we had a tone ring to the crank pulley.
