Maybe that big rubber mallet could help 😂

Did the same..replaced resistor first motor/fan next and then just took the switch apart, cleaned the contacts and it worked like a charm..if I’d have known then what I know now, I would have just put a little sideways pressure on the switch and, if fan worked with pressure on it, it’s a free/easy fix to clean…motor is LAST thing I’d replace, a real PITA without knowing two “secrets to easier removal/reinstall”

Brother I've been having issues with my 07 Ford Edge. Kind of been successful with motor. Going to add refrigerant today.

You gotta put it at an angle have the connected facing at 12 o'clock and at you. Then you swing it up and in plac

Thanks for the video it really helps but my only problem is the freaking connector that’s refusing to get out of the slot

Let me save you all some gray hairs. Here's how you solve the problem of it being hard to put back in place.
There's a phillips screw holding carpet in place where passenger right foot goes. Take that off to pull carpet back to give yourself a bit more wiggle room. Next there is a 10mm nut to the right and slightly above and behind this carpet screw. Loosen but do not remove this nut to the end of the bolt to create a bit more space. Next there is a 10mm bolt to the left which also holds the whole assembly in place. Remove that too. These three things combined will let you pull the whole plastic assembly that you pop the motor into back toward passenger seat by a quarter inch. Next use a small pry bar behind the plastic which held the 10mm bolt that you removed. One person who enters from the driver side should very gently pry the assembly back a quarter inch while the second person pushes the filter in place. Then screw everything back in reverse order. Worked like a charm.

I have a 2014 Kia SORENTO the blower works every now & then. 🙄 morning it works. Evening it doesn’t. 😂. Kick the side of the panel wile driving sometimes it comes on. 🤦‍♂️. Either the resistor or motor. Not sure yet what to do.

    How did u get it

I'm going down this path. Yes, the blower motor is hard to get out/in unless you loosen the two nuts and one screw in the blower housing that attaches to the fire wall. Then you get a short pry bar under there, only need to pry out about a 1/4 inch and bingo, it pops right in. Found this trick on line thank gawd. I also popped in a motor, a resistor and no workie grrrrrrr trying the switch next as you did then if that isn't it I go to the blower relay by the motor. (All fuses, links test good volt meter and ohm meter)

If I check the blower motor outlet and have ground and power does that mean it can't be the temp. control switch? I replaced the switch a few months ago and I'm just trying to rule out that being it. Thanks in advance

Use a long flexible adapter. To your drill or hand tool for different bits.

OK why did you go through all that trouble of changing parts all you had to do was send power to that motor and you wouldn’t had to pull it out and you could’ve tested it with a test light or a voltmeter. You’re just a parts changer a test power coming into the switch. No power coming out you have a bad switch And it’s not rocket science. I am glad they are making vehicles with the newer computer system so guys like you can’t just throw parts at them because once you replace a part you gotta go in with a scanner advance, scanner and recalibrate them or the part won’t work you have the same problemguys like you roll that eight ball throw those parts went through all that hassle wasted time
