- Mike is back and we are giving you a quick preview into his transformation of the OG Porsche 944 Winter Beater into a competitive stage rally car. He will be swapping the motor with an 07K using a Boost Brothers swap kit, installing heavy duty suspension from Bilstein, fabricating a roll cage and a ton more! This is going to be an epic build, so make sure you follow along and watch the dramatic transformation of this Porsche 944.

Hell yeah Ever since I saw his fabrication on the front suspension in the original winter beater series and the beautiful large sidewall tires I've been hooked on Mike's 944
I love Mike's builds, they're so unorthodox and his craft is amazing, keep it up 👍

Just watched the whole series so far. I’d love to build up a car period. Just can’t right now as I don’t have the space or even the money. But someday I will. Maybe it’ll be a VR6 swap on my MK7 Golf.

I was going to comment on how if ya wanted parts availability why not Volvo 5cyl? or a Chevy 5cyl? But then I actually thought about it, I'd prolly do the same, keep it in the family so to speak, Porsche is part of VAG, so it makes sense.
Also... the Chevy 5cyl... is kinda big, as it's a truck engine used in the Colorado, so like 3.7 liter, might be a bit much for weight, and maybe not as tunable, so I dropped that idea quickly :P

True, 944 prices have been increasing a lot over the past few years, but not because of youtubers, they’re just becoming much rarer now as most of them fell into disrepair like this one. As for paying $500 for one, I am seriously impressed! I had to pay over £1000 for one here in the uk that doesn’t run and is absolutely rotten...
