Too bad you are so class limited with suspension upgrades. These cars really come alive with with stiffer springs, torsion bars, shocks and at least some turbo sway bars.

I believe it; it’s incredible how differently the car behaves by just simply swapping the bushings out. Amazing cars!

Another great, useful post, David! Always wondered if the poly bushes really did that much and now I know. Always heard they can be rough for everyday driving though. What do you think about that? I think you need to vac your ceiling fan - it's really starting to bug me! 😡 🤪 -Tom

Thanks Tom!! It seems like so far the bushings don’t negatively effect street driving too badly. The only situation is if I hit a bump with one side of the car then it definitely transfers more into the cabin, but it’s not uncomfortable. Overall, it’s still very softly sprung relative to modern cars

And also, many apologies about the ceiling fan 😂😂 I’ll clean it just for you!

Hey Funahead! Great call with the powerflex bushings I LOVE those things. Incase you change your mind about the drop link to the chassis bushings, here’s my video from a while ago with the part numbers! th-cam.com/video/loU1_hFFI00/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qSDAPTC8CLG511JT
I went with the street bushings and I don’t remember if they make those drop link bushings in the race compound but at least it should give you the option to replace em in the future if you like! Good luck and can’t wait to see the results from the next race!

Thanks! And thank you very much for watching! I appreciate you letting me know. I do want to swap out the other ones at some point. It’s amazing how noticeable of a change some simple bushings can make

@@FunAhead_TV_Official my passenger side went out on me on my way home from work one day, 20 years of power steering fluid dripping on it. I’m one shock away from a complete suspension overhaul but those powerflex bushings even on stock suspension made a world a difference really sharpened up the steering response for sure. Are you allowed to run a strut brace???? I’ve never used one so I’m curious what that would do for the car as well. Loved the auto cross content can’t wait to see more!

Haha yeaaa, I know. They’re not cheap here either. But hey, the car was optioned that way, so I run them! Incredibly light things.
