This is a great concept to adapt to a regular map with its territories and sea crossings. The Risk regional powers concept is appealing because it breaks up the gigantic Russia seen on most maps. That giant thing looms over the scenario regardless of special rules.
You don't have to adopt the exact Risk map. Just the concept of a war of regions.
BTW, back on real Earth there is at this moment a genuine discussion among a half-dozen countries to form an East African Federation. So the winner here is a legit region.

Scandinavian peninsula doesn't include Denmark. Denmark is indeed connected to the mainland and has no part of it in the Scandinavia. It's called a Scandinavian country because Danes and all North Germanic people originated from Scandinavia. The Angles and Jutes, two west Germanic tribes are technically the "native" people of modern Denmark.

It’s funny to see the name of the subdivisions in English for a Spanish speaker because most of them are the same but other like Ukraine, Siam, Congo etc. change quite a lot. I also like that you gave the territories of now a days Afghanistan to the risk Afghanistan because in the Spanish version, idk why, that’s a part of India.
i feel like the biggest mistake (other than some... interesting choices of what to include where) is naming a sub continent after just one country. calling an entire region by the name of one country within that region is just begging for pain.
it would be so easy to just make up a name. with canada for example (since i'm from there), you could easily call those groupings of provinces eastern canada, central canada, western canada, and northern canada. or, if you wanted to be funny, cold irish france, toronto, a bunch of grass, and oh my god who would live here.
