Stupid question, When you flip the lever is it applying pressure, and when you flip back it lets the air pressure out? (same question about the switch) I am planning to run this exact shift knob in my wrangler if I can run the air lockers with the lever and switch :)

Got a RTLO-18918B transmission, the transmission does a loud popping sound with jakes on and gearing down anything above 5th gear

Hey ETR! Just found your channel….Great videos especially the one towing with the driveshaft connected! How ‘bout one on the transmission grinding noise at low RPM and low speed? 3rd gear is the worst.

Question: what if I wanted to run my switches of pneumatic toggle switches mounted elsewhere....what type of switches would be needed and how would the lines be connected?

I want to go to an old school push pull for my range what type of air switch would I need for the gear splits? Would a small end gate latch switch work? I don't want two push pulls I've seen them that way I didn't care for it

I have a 10 speed and I want to extend or raise my shifter shaft would I have to change those red and black lines or just buy adapters to make them longer? Also what size lines are those and where can I buy those particular lines at? Thanks

Roger that…Ive got an 18 speed that occasionally fails to split the gear. The owner operator has seen where the air lines get gummed up. We are going to attempt to disconnect air lines and run brake clean and air through them. Thank you for your insight. Any additional suggestions welcome.

I would start with checking the splitter cylinder itself. It may have rust buildup causing poor shifting.

Question replaced the clotch had trans check at a shop. I n a friend installed the clotch and trans but when I test drove it don’t want to go on height gear. Only up to 4th. Any idea of what to check is a 18 speed

I am assuming that you have watched this video and are now absolutely sure you have the air lines plumed in correctly? If so did this truck have this issue before you pulled the clutch? If the transmission has just now started with the issue you mentioned you probably have an issue with how the top plate was installed. The slave valve on the side of the transmission has an actuator that works along with the top plate. If during inspection when the top plate is installed if things are not lined up correctly you can bend the actuator and you will not be able to range shift.

@@etrtruckcenterenginedrivet8918 yea I’m going to check the hose because I didn’t hear a loud noise when flipping the switch also it did not have any transmission problems before they took it apart
