I am delighted to see that you have the signalling in the correct order. Most instructors teach that you should #1 look first #2 signal #3 change lanes. This is wrong is wrong advice, and wrong headed. The reason I say this is because many people do not get enough blinks on their light. I like my students to get at least three blinks before they change lanes. With the first method they might not get even two blinks, and probably only one. So with this method they get their third blink when they're almost finished their lane change. That's too late. SIGNAL EARLY. My rule is simple. #1 Signal #2 Check mirror (shoulder check) #3 Change lanes. I'm not sure why some find this so hard to grasp. Signal early!
Why are you signalling without first checking(via the mirror) if you can change lanes at all? Perhaps, a more comprehensive approach is 1. Mirror 2. Signal 3. Mirror with shoulder check(At least 3 blinks) 4. Change lanes

I’ve been trying to get my license 🪪 for years my family would teach me and then stopped. They didn’t offer drivers Ed at my school. I have a permit so hopefully I’ll have my license by the end of the year. 🤞🏻
don't stop practicing. at least watch this kind of videos everyday so you mind is ready to drive. something close to you happened to me and I already got my license. You can do it.
These tutorials make it look so easy to switch lanes but when you're in the driving seat, it's a whole other story 😭I want to learn how to do it the right way, but when there's cars right beside me, it gets intimidating!
These videos are really helping me in the process. My husband is practicing with me and he's telling me the samething as the videos. But the yelling is crazy 😅
I live in a busy city and I hate this part. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO IT ON MY OWN. This video was very helpful and made me feel better about it. 💕 thank you!
Very helpful! Sometimes when learning to drive I've noticed that it is hard to know when I have turned the steering wheel all the way to one side or only half way to one side. Do you have a video on this? This question was meant for a previous video I watched about reversing out of a parking spot.
I let my drivers permit expire twice the last 5 years I can never have the guts to learn just very scary to even practice because I feel like I’ll do everything wrong and all that crazy drivers even after looking at videos I don’t get excited to learn to drive 🤷♂️
Same! Mine expires on Sunday. I'm going to try to learn and get my license within a week. Im terrified! If not im gonna have to take the permit test for the third time 😅
I totally feel you guys of how it’s no so exciting because we fear of screwing up and others on the road. My first permit expired in late January of this year and I had to take the permit test again. It took me on my third attempt to pass it, I was so overwhelmed by it but so glad I was able to get it. Now it’s time for the real thing. It’s still scary, I’m not too bad, just take it a day at a time and be consistent, have some faith in yourself too. I believe you guys will be able to make it!
@@alyssac1379 yea I just see everyone driving outside and they do fine and then here I am I feel like I’ll do one little mistake it be too slow and I already piss someone off or I don’t feel like I deserve to drive cause I might some something wrong when I want everything done right
@@Eddy12700 it’s alright to make mistakes and take your time. Don’t worry too much about other people if you’re driving a little slow, let them pass you and it helps when you have the student driver sign so they’re aware. Another thing too is you gotta relax, don’t panic cuz you will self sabotage yourself. Just believe in yourself, be confident. I know what you mean by it feeling undeserving but don’t think like that, you deserve freedom to get out there and explore
Im a new driver got my license november but im having a hard time sometimes to read those car how fast they are and how close they are to my car if i change lanes. Thats why i keep watching this kind of video to help me to do it. Im still scared to drive alone. But i need to do it.
I’m a new driver too and these videos been helping me so much. On my first day driving alone it was night and I got stopped by the cops for not turning on my headlights. I paid $400 for driving school and no one taught me to turn on driving light at night. I will keep driving but slowly just to build my confidence
Step #1 : Turn on your signal Step #2 : check left or right mirror & look over your shoulder Step #3: Turn off Your signal After completing lane change
A poorly designed stretch of road might be 100 yards long, speed limit of 45, and spits cars into the road four lanes away from their exit. In cases like this, you need to quick-merge. Check once, thoroughly, blink three times, and zip into the first spot you can. Don't take your sweet time with multiple checks or other cars are going to keep filling your opening. New drivers cause accidents when they aren't taught or don't know when to drive offensively, and then panic because "no one will let them over".
Thank you so much for all these videos, I had a quick question. To change lanes, you have to slightly tilt the steering wheel to the lane you want to change to? I was trying to keep an eye on how the driver was tilting the steering wheel but wanted to clarify. This would be something helpful to add to future videos.
One of my weakness changing lanes thats why I don't drive on free ways and because I watched this now I do understand the mechanics 😄

Everyone is talking about - how to pass the test 😢.. but the fact is once passed u need to drive safely thats more important than just passing test. 😢
💯💯
