William, your channel is a gold mine! Love your playing; great voice leading and smooth flow from chord to chord. I'd love to see a video discussing some of the syncopations you use.
@@WilliamSaadGuitar Thanks for the prompt reply! I was curious about syncopations you used in this video, but I guess this applies for your bossa playing at large. What particularly made me curious is your approach to the bass notes. I am well acquainted with basically everything going on in the mid and upper voices, and how it's supposed to feel against the bass. But you also play the bass note off beat quite a lot, which is pretty unusual for bossa. Sometimes you play the bass as an anticipation, 16th behind the beat (which is not that uncommon). But you also do stuff like play the bass on the "and" of the 2nd beat for example, which is not something I see too often. Also sometimes you play the bass on the 1 beat without the rest of the chord, and with no anticipation preceding it. Which I was under the impression is a faux pas in Brazilian guitar rhythms. But your playing sounds so right, which makes me think that I am probably missing something. So because these elements in your playing are not very familiar to me, I was curious to know how you think about them and where you picked them up. :)
@@arthurthegreat216 sorry Arthur...Will look into this. I haven't really analysed my right hand technique in any detail. Sorry about delay. Very busy time at the moment.
Hi Israel, sorry for delayed response. I have a lot of guitar lessons around the end of the week. I am so pleased you like the arragement. It is one of Jobim's most beautiful songs, isn't it. This one and Luiza although I love Correnteza too and Foi a Noite and and and...:-) Also, thank you for subscrinbing too! Much appreciated it.
I like what Claus Oberman did with this song for Sinatra as a different version I think he left out some portions to make it move along a little faster Arranging is a true art form!
Thank you Samuel. Much appreciated. This Jobim song is from another world... I hope you get a chance to explore the rest of the channel. I recently published Você Vai Ver. I had no idea I would fall in love with the song after publication! I guess this is the magic of Jobim and his bewitching music...
Yes, Ogerman the (other) genius! If you like arrangements watch out for Arthur Verocai. One of my heroes sadly not very well known. I did a video of O Tempo e o Vento which I love...

Thank you, Arthur. Very kind words. Please share with your friends if you can. Syncopations in this song or in general?

@@WilliamSaadGuitar No worries whatsoever.
Great cover! Your singing really compliments the piece. Nice job!
Ensorcelantes harmonies brésiliennes... J. S. Bach lui-même, s'il les entendait, ne pourrait pas résister à leur charme, merci William!
I think you are right, Pierre... Back himself would be enchanted! Thank you!
Belíssimo arranjo

Thank you Nicola. Yes, this is Jobim at his best...
Thank you so much, Nicola. One of Jobim’s best with Buarque. Sorry I didn’t spot your comment earlier.
Fantastic dear william . We waiting for the new.
