As a long time Long Island saltwater fisherman now living in DE. I'm psyched to see the blues moving in. A word of advice save your expensive lures & throw some diamond jigs with a tube on it. It also helps to keep that rod tip up as opposed to reeling it in sideways. The blues will have a harder time biting off your lures. You can also try a steel leader if you know the chopper blues are around. TIGHT LINES & FISH ON!!!
I can’t wait to see more big saltwater fishing coming from you man. Fishing from the shore (either in bays or in the surf) is easily my favorite type of fishing, especially when you’re wrenching in the big ones. Also the Penn Slammer is just such a pretty reel, I bet it’s a blast to fish with. :)
Bluefish are pound for pound the best fighting fish in the world! Those teeth are ferocious no doubt. I've seen blues turn their heads around when being unhooked and biting the guy's fingers. Just an absolute savage fish!

I caught an amberjack in Kona. Took me like 10 or 15 minutes to get that fish in the zodiac. Full of worms that looked like spaghetti. Great fight though.
Yeah your right theres nothing better than having good session fishing and catching loads of different types of fish i fish my self in England but the fish over here are so different to yours in the usa but still very entertaining and intresting to .thank for your effort

Next time you go bluefish fishing bring a Boga Grip. That way you don’t have to grab them by the tail, and you can also get a weight on it. It’ll make your life a lot easier.

Those big blues down here in NC are known as Choppers or Choppas depending on what part you are from. I usually use 50-60 lb mono leader tied to braid for them. I'd love to see more saltwater videos from you. I'm gonna hit that catch & cook you did up next.

Hey love the video keep up the hard work, but just a little tip on using a surf rod from what i noticed in the video your rod tip is soft so when you set the hook keep your rod up so u can get more leverage on the rod plus you would have more control

In Australia we call them Tailor, the little ones get nick named choppers ( because they chop the baits up ) and big ones like those are green backs, legal size where i live is 30cm (12inch) Great eating

Hi guys, When saltwater fishing off a pier or off the beach in general when is the best time to fish. Is it like 2 hours before or like 2 hours after low tide or high tide or something?
bluefish over 10lb I do 80lb leader , not mono, also when theyre biting throw cheap stuff. trust me the blues don't care. nice vid. wish I was there. Im afraid they'll be gone by the time I get a chance to come down there in a week or two. catch em up! best fight from the beach, other than maybe albies.

If you want to fight a fish you should try catching an amberjack
