Awesome work! So glad to see you have some good luck with the Switch USB port this time around. You've come a long way since you started, it's motivational to see such progress. Keep it up.
When I see a port with that much damage it’s expected to have a blown chip. 😂 Nice work Joey. On my last switch charging port I decided to make some balls and added them to the pads. I feel like just tinning the pads and port just isn’t enough solder on these.
I had 7 switch lites in a row and I used a needle file. now I have a Aldi Dremel it's much easier. aslong as you remove the lip on the usb c port. it will fit inside a lite case. albeit stick out slighty more. but it still looks factory. keep up the good work.
Good trick I saw was to cut a smaller piece of the solder wick (3cm?) to allow it to get hotter, otherwise the heat will sink down the rest of the wick pretty easily.
great work! I did the same job on a turquoise switch lite. But I cut the usb port screwing it on a little piece of scrap wood and using a jewelry saw (a cheap one I got on AliExpress... really works well). ;-)
I stopped using kapton tape for the most part because quite often components get lifted or moved under it, the last time it was a ribbon connector on a ps4 controller board that lifted with the tape
SPOILER ALERT
I sorted the Parental Controls 😁 Luckily as soon as I connected to the internet they were automatically taken off!
Really? How is that possible?
@@onasazi the owner takes off the parental controls using the app :)
Just discovered your channel and told my daughter to watch, because you are not afraid to show failures. Well done Joey🎉
Nice! You made Lite work of that 👍
I’ll give you a 7/10 😂

Hahahaha hopefully Treena!

Yeah I think that’s the last time I’ll be using it 😂
Nice and clean job joey 👌
Thankyou Greg!
I stopped using the dremmel on the port and used it to widen the slot on the case itself.. Just as easy and less risk.
Same here I just file the case a bit
Ahh good to know
I find this method abit unslighty. even using needle files it's so easy to show gaps where you have filed to much.
GET IN! Great work
Good work!!
great video Joey, have a great weekend
Thankyou bud, you too
Well done, Joey! 👍👍
Thankyou!
Nicely done Joey!

Great Job Joey!
Who was the content creator you mention? Dakota something
Haha, The Cod3r is the creator :)
How do you think the charging port got messed up? I think someone either put the wrong cable in or someone is just very bad with plugging stuff in.
I honestly have no idea. Maybe when they plugged it in something got hooked to the inside casing, and snagged it out? That’s what I’m thinking.
Great fix joey
Thanks Dak
nice one joey :D very tidy
Cheers Si :)
love the content support from florida
Thankyou!
nice work!! 💪💪🤘🤘
Thanks :)
Nice Joey!!!
Keeps up ⬆️
i paid 50 for a fully working one in bad condition with mario odessy
That's a great price! :)
@@JoeyDoesTech yeah, the only issue is the joystick is broken off but somehow works so I’m going to fix and resell soon
wicked joey do a shell swap and contact the seller to get the pin for parental controls or just try 111111like i did that might work
Controls came off after connecting to internet luckily :) I’ve actually sold this one now for not a bad price!
Hand file the port off the board. Easier
Will bare in mind bud thanks
Let’s go early
