Sleeper’s version is the definitive one for me. Saw them yesterday in Haslemere and this was such a highlight. Yes, Trainspotting doubtless helped, but Sleeper are ace.
@@98ron I think the drumming is incredible on this. Debbie Harry is a true icon, to be honest I don't think there are many out there that can get close, trying to cover Blondie is a bit like trying to cover Elvis. You're on a hiding to nothing. The Last Dinner Party's version of Call Me is amazing though.
I fancied her in the 90s. Still do, but she cannot sing. She’s ducking all the difficult bits such as, well listen to Debbie Harry for a start. The whole melody is long sustained powerful phrases, and I never thought I would ever hear anyone (other than Ian Curtis ) that can’t sing Love Will Tear Us Apart.
Debbie Harry is a true icon of the 20th century, she's a living legend, so with no disrespect to her I genuinely prefer this version. The drumming on this, and he way it sits in the mix, is top drawer.
My son and l have spoken to Louise twice at gigs. Had photos and a cuddle. Love her for her time.
Ah trainspotting, memories
🥺Diane🥺 that scene it’s marvelous, and sleeper improved that song, haters!!!!! Greetings.
2 of my favorite songs. Strange combo
So good… love them! (Still!)

I think that’s because is the one we hear back those years, but I’m with you, this is the one.
Version of what? Surely you don’t mean their poor version of a Blondie song beats the Blondie version? Drummer can’t even play it.
@@98ron I’m not at all surprised that some people have different opinions. Isn’t that wonderful?

Wow. We really need that many camera angles huh?

A wonderful medley. But maybe add a Smiths song into it
And with that…

Yeah she is really struggling to hold the notes!
She can sing. This perhaps isn't the greatest example of her singing I've ever heard, but Sleeper are a fine band all round.
Louise is beautiful but no Debbie H, classic covers though
Singing other peoples songs exposes her vocal limitations
Trainspotting soundtrack.
... is she trying to sing ????????? Dear God ...
The band are brilliant, girl on keys is one heck of a mover. Lou can't sing, sorry.
Wank vocals
God that's awful.
Blondie did it better
