I'll be honest, my first trip to India was a bit tough. I wasn't quite prepared for it. But after a few months off, I decided it was time to give India a second chance! I've been here a few days now, and let me say, I'm glad I came back! Although to get into the city and get my trip started, I first had to make it through Delhi Airport.
Being that I had only a backpack, I decided that upon arriving I would take a taxi directly to a place called Uttam Nagar for eating dinner. Luckily before arriving, I checked the price on Uber, and it was roughly only 250 INR, or around $3.11 USD. Now, Delhi airport they have taxi drivers standing outside waiting for you, who will charge higher prices. I decided to go along with it and see how much they charge.
They proceeded to try to charge me 1500 INR, or $20 for the ride. I agreed as I was curious what this priced taxi would get me. It definitely wasn't worth it. The driver was nice though.

The reason these videos are good to watch is because we like how Chris is as a person and not the kind of people he runs into. Even though he overpaid for the taxi, his behaviour remains good with everyone which is hard to see in anyone these days, especially ourselves.

When u want a taxi always try to find near by any localite its for sure india they will help on you exact fare
They are not scammers. It is WTI cabs approved by Delhi police Delhi govt etc. it is a radio cab service. You were not scammed it is a legal taxi and drivers are wearing ID cards etc
As a Indian I can't tolerate this taxi service too much awkward moment

I was scammed too when i got to Delhi... We paid 1500 for Janakpuri and on our way the driver asked for extra 1000 rupees... But we had a friend from the locality, so when we reach C1 they beat his a** up for scamming us😆

I was in a taxi in Kuala Lumpur. I knew I was being scammed and my Google maps showed that he was taking a detour. Along the way I asked him about his family. He was a young guy in his late 20s. He had 7! kids.
When we got to my hotel the meter showed 27 rm against the normal 4 rm it cost the day before. I thought that this guy needs to feed his family and was I was not willing to greate a fuss for 5 euros so I let it go and paid him 30 rm. On my way out I asked him to stop scamming people and told him I always pay a minimum of 10 rm however short the trip was. At the same time my hotel banned him from entering the driveway to pick up passengers
You seem like a nice guy, Chris, but why would you willingly pay 7 times the price of an Uber to get you to the same place with the same level of service? 🤷♂️

Is it kinda routed in the mind or so that whenever they see someone foreign,they just speak English or will try to even if it's broken English and even after knowing the person can speak Hindi,they still continue their English? I mean if it's getting hard to find the words or hard to speak their mind across or what they mean,they can speak in hindi but I guess it's headstrong or so. I,even though,am a NE Indian,have come across such occasions many times and they just stubbornly try to speak English,when Hindi would have made me understood better instead of leaving me more confused lol.

The cab driver took a lot of money, he should not take even this much, it is worth up to 300-400.
1500 for taxi service because they park their vehicle in airport line where the parking fee is 500 rupees . Dont think they are charging too much .

We "moan" because we want to watch his videos and adventures, thus we get excited about it when we see a new upload, but then we just get to find out over and over that's it's just a reupload, nothing new to see, of course it's going to be disappointing. It's a waste of time to have to click video after video to see if it's a new or an old one. At least disable notifying subscribers on upload if it's just an old reupload. If people wanted to watch or rewatch old videos they'd just go to the channel, scroll down and click said videos on their own.
Appreciate it brother. Indeed I've had some very tough personal stuff going on, and been making some very tough decisions on filming. I live in Vietnam but don't particularly like filming in Vietnam and getting recognized. But the other channel brings in the income which is what allows me to do these videos, so I'm back and forth on where to post stuff. That and a lot of other personal stuff is going on in my life with visas, family, etc. People always think it's so simple and call me a dumbass from the outside but it's nice to see some people realizing it's not all fun and games. I'm fairly sure I'm going to just push and build this channel though and keep uploading videos from Vietnam to keep the money coming in.
