At what point in the game do you decide on a victory condition? Early game, mid game or late game? I sometimes get lost in building up my worlds, and building up my fleet that I forget what my end victory condition should be.
The reason movement speed makes the game easier according to Brad it gives the AI less time to respond to the player. In Steam forums a thread talking about AI improvements Brad said he had to balance how far an AI can see out vs the turn times and he is making improvements on the AI. He suggested someone could lower ship movement in the files by 1 or 2 less tiles would help the AI but also make the game slower and he thinks more boring.
As a new player this was very helpful! great video!
Glad it helped!
